Synopsis (257 words)
In the secluded village in the mountains where the legend took place, the people worshiped dragons and would live bonded with the local creatures. To keep the peace, the people would forbid any outside influence, especially livestock in fear of being raided (there was no such need for the dragons are amicable beings but humans gotta human). With their tradition, every year, a village-favourite will be picked and dressed beautifully as the Qingxian (a divine immortal being born of love in their books) to perform a ritual to commemorate the peace between the humans and the guardian dragons.

This is not a folklore to them but instead it is something of legend, as the change happened before their very eyes. That is the introduction of horses to the village. One time, under the branches of the dead tree with gold veins, the Qingxian received 3 horses from the heavens, lead by a striking grullo stallion with sun-like feathers who left without a trace back to its (presumed by the village) divine owner after. They are called the Heavenly Horses, one is of the ice, with striking blue markings; another is of fire, with feathers of hot sunset and a fiery comet's tail and the third one with no feathers, but is of impressive bold stature with a beautiful strong silhouette.

Slowly the villagers open up to the idea of living with the new creatures, and to their surprise, they too have formed a bond with the dragon protectors of the area. That’s how the legend goes anyways…

I'm surprised at how much I can word vomit sometimes I only have like a couple bit of plot planned and just winged it, now I have to build off this one starting here PFF
This started out as a little study on the Chinese illustration style but it definitely got mixed up with various other styles + my own (what happens when you start to panic and have an existential crisis mid-painting I guess x"D)
