I hadn't expected to see such an... undark ? view of Formenos. But maybe it is just the circumstances of that time that made Formenos always look dark in my mind. Nice picture. And Feanor-Curufinwe has a nice mix of being calm at the moment but still looking fierce and piercing at you.
Ah, poor Finwe. It was probably not easy to raise and handle his firstborn child.

He looks a tad boyish, but other than that it's great!

The colors here are well-chosen to compliment one another. I love the serene look of the atmosphere, though a quick look at the rider's face is enough to show that this is not a happy scene. Great job!

Wow, I don't know where to begin, this is so lovely!
Feanor looks appropriately angry and awesome - and his outfit is GORGEOUS. His pose and the horse's look so natural - and the folds of the fabric are great.
I love the way this is painted - the flowingness and the purple give it a really dreamlike feel, with an angry elf determined to shake that up The red cloak really stands out - and the flowers in the foreground are a really nice touch, helping to ground him, and also contrasting beautifully with the purple. Nice work!
...long comment is long

you've done a good job with coloring.
not even telling how good you gave the feeling of feanor being feanor himself.. the environment is cool as well..

For a first time in many days, even months, I've found a symbolism in a picture. I don't know if it was your intention, but I hope you won't take it bad if I comment on it.
The thing is, I feel the red cape makes him really stand out. Everything else is kind of purplish, even the grass, but the cape contrasts a lot (I'm not saying it looks like it doesn't "belong" to the picture", just that it breaks the "monotone" palette and draws the eyes... and, in my case, the ideas). My brain has automaticly interpreted it as a sign of his growing "de-attachment" to all that is Valar-ruled, to Valinor, to where he is supposed to belong. It's like he's saying: yes, I'm part of it, but I'm also actively trying to get apart from it. Like he's making a statement of some sort: I'm different, I want to be different, even if I'm made of the same essence everyone else is.
And I think this adds a lot to the picture. I'm fearing you will take me wrong (but I hope not!), as if I was saying: the picture is not worthy per se, just the symbolism. That's not what I mean, at all. The picture is amazing, his face is so beautiful it's almost incredible, and the horse is just... perfect. And if you add a stunning background, suggesting more than showing, it makes it an instant fave.
It does not need the symbolism I see, but I find it adds some more depth to it (in my eyes), and I liked it too much to let it go uncommented.
Hope you understand what I mean

Wow! For the first time I get such a... profound (and also long ) comment. I didn't mean something by the colour of his cape, the red just is one of colours of his house, and it also fits very much his flaming character. But I like your idea

Well, I usually see things where they are not, and fail to see them where they are supposed to be... If you had intented this symbolism, I probably wouldn't have thought of it, because I'm that weird. I'm glad you like, though.
Also, I'm so surprised that you don't get more lengthy comments! Your art is so inspiring...

I love this! how you did get him look so youthful, is just perfect and the colors on his mantle and cloths makes him look like the royalty he is. the expression of thet he regrets nothing and he's just abit angry! Again: I love this
FΓ«anor is one of my favorites in Tolkiens books ^^
