i have only seen it once, back when a UK tv channel did a season of Ford movies, including some of the obscure ones. googling this morning, it seems that Ford turned down offers to direct biblical epics, but Three Godfathers is obviously about redemption. i also read this morning that Wayne hated cacti, which may have added something to his performance...
