How do you get such good photos without glass smears or chain link fences in the way? I work at a zoo and would love to take shots like this

Finding the least gross parts of the glass or finding spots of the chain link fence that are in the shade help a lot. With this photo, the exhibit had netting that I was able to zoom right through thankfullly. Most of my zoo photos aren't keepers due to fences and glass smears though. I only post a very small number of photos I take.

Thank you for responding! I'll definitely keep this in mind, most of mine aren't keepers either, good to know I'm not the only one!

No problem! A good portion of the good shots come with luck, and praying there isn't a kid smearing their face on the glass

haha I've had to clean that glass, from both sides. The tiger can be worse than the kids, I watched one spray right on the glass once haha

Haha! I will have to keep that in mind the next time I see dirty glass at the zoo!

Know I'm happy to see you posting high-quality photos of not only birds- a topic most ppl know you from;
I always looked for artists on DA to put photos that will help me understand anatomy and how the fur goes on animals, so thanks to your photos I can do so.
Thank you

Aw, I am happy I can help! I try to get photos of other animals when I can, but I have access to birds more often than anything else. I love it when I can go to the zoo to get other animal photos.

I know you are easy to get birds of prey photos, I happened to read your journals and descriptions carefully ^^
but it's good you try to board your variety of animal photos, I'm glad of this

Probably wishes someone would come and dip the pool of the debris.
