I sincerly hope I spelled her name correct.
When I was ~13, I read a book about Marie Antoinette by Stefan Zweig. In the macabre and gory story of the French Revolution there was an episode, when queen's friend, princess Lamballe, was literally torn to pieces by the crowd. Her head was placed on a stick and the procession of the happy people was going to take it to the queen *I reckon she was impisoned already at that time... I'm still no friends with history* The people actually suspected those two women to have a lesbian relation; so it appeared to be a brilliant idea to give the vicious queen a last kiss in the precious lips of her dear princess. The best way to manage it was, of course, to tear off the head with all its precious lips and stuff and deliver it directly to the queen.
I don't really remember what made me think of this story in the February of 2009, but something did. I tried to find poor woman's portraits in the I-net, but still there's a little resemblence, if any at all. This work is quite... hysterical. Ugh and I doubt about the category positioning again...
