I like the way the planet above looks like watercolor made and the stars.. the color of this is just amazing.. that kind of bright but this just fit to that work (as there is so much colors.. vivid but this is very good and fits well 
A lovely addition is that dark cloud between planet and set of stars..
But I like your second attempt more..There is too much colors.. It's good but can be little bit too messy and overwhelm when look at it..
It's great.. (I just don't have to forget that this is really first work.. amazing in that level..)

Well I don't know anything about diitalart of any kind or in any form, but this do seem like something you've put a lot of effort into, and I think it turned out alright. For some reason though the fog annoys me, but that's up to each and everyone ne? But I really do luv those vibrant colours and the light- I don't care what MaisterP says, strong contrasts and colours are great and brings life to a pic!

ouch ... lots of colours. I like the idea in general, but it's execution ... well:
Let's presume this picture is somewhere in our universe. This means some rules of astronomy and physics which should not be bent.
1. No water planet will ever be lit like this. Except it's orbited by it's own little sun. On every other occasion it's only lit by one source of light. Two suns would mean lots of heat and this means no water 
2. Now to the composition. The fog in the background is nice.. but set too far away from the planet. This seperates the composition, better put it partially behind the planet. I would have also placed the planet/moon a bit lower above the horizon. But that's up to you.
3. Saturation. It's a bit too high on this piece. You have lot's of vibrant colours there, maybe a bit too much. I almost feel like on some kind of drug. Be gentle with them please

ouchh. lol well this was my first attempt, so hopefully i can only get better from now. thanks for the advice.... oh and i wasnt really going for reality, so i dont really care if this planet can have water or not. i was just for a cool look. yeah the colors are a little vibrant, i might tone that down. thanks again for a good critique
