So Breaking Dawn came out down under yesterday. I've already read all the spoilers.. (AS IF I'd actually read the book) and I hope against hope once the fans have read it they'll realise the error of their squealing-ways.Anyway. My picture. Would you perhaps like to know why Edward is dressed like some muscle-bound, idealised hunk from the cover of a badly-written romance? THIS IS WHY: [link] ... I thought it was a joke for a good five minutes.
What were they thinking when they cast him as Edward? Clearly this man would have been a better choice: [link] .... once you've clicked that.. and you've returned here to flame me for my opinion.. think carefully about what that man has to say.
I know you'll agree with me eventually. After all, he sure has got the right hair!

I liked the first one and then I read the second and I liked Jacob, which was about it, and then the third one just made me hate everyone. Except Jacob. I'm afraid teh read the forth one. And I am not a fangirl, anymore. It lost its gamour after a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds called it the best bok on earth. It's a good book, but not mind-blowng-changd-my-life kind of book.

In Australia they ordered enough books to fill peoples' pre-orders.. but then completely underestimated how many more people would want to buy it... so there have been scores of pubescant-Edward-fans trapped without the book.. my friend's mom said girls were crying in the ques at the bookstores >_> It really infuriates me.

That's just... realllllllllllly sad. It's seriously just a book. I mean it's not like Harry Potter where I actually grew up as he did. Although he delt with evil forces bent on destroying the world (don't they all) and I delt with a school trying to destroy the way I dress. I think everyone's blown the book out of propotion. I want to read the last one, but I haven't decided yet.... I don't want to read a bad fanfic, I've already read too many. XD

You're perfectly right about people having blown it out of proportion.. I think Meyer has a quirky writing style and her characters potentially have a lot of depth... but she just always misses the mark.
I suppose the advantage J.K. Rowling had over her was that Harry Potter continued over a much longer period of time.. better for good character development. (oh.. and her books had a plot >_> )

I've heard spoilers abou the forth book. It had no plot development... I think it's funny people compare J.K. Rowling to Meyers. They have nothing in common, save angsty teens and love triangles.

Oh, It's brilliant. It's my favorite out of the series, but the ending.. Nothing was settled really with the Volturi.. My friend and I think she'll write another saga from a Jacob POV..

I liked the first Twilight book but then Stephanie ruined it all by bringing in the stupid werewolves. Damn Mutt Jacob! I'm probably still going to read Breaking Dawn to see how she pulls the trigger that kills the series. My vamp stories are better! Nana Nana Booboo!

I must say your depiction of the imprinting was priceless.. my friend whose reading Breaking Dawn told me all about it.. and ultimately I decided that, compared to them affectionately nick-naming the child "Nudger" becuz it near-ruined Bella's entire skeleton from the inside, Jacob's imprinting was positively fluffy!
