Here I'm on the way back to my tent, which I had pitched at the other side of the lake, just outside of the frame of this picture. When I visited Rondane a couple weeks ago, most of the autumn colours above treeline had already faded away and the scenery was quite barren. However, there were some small islands in full colour sprinkeled in the landscape. I have no idea why they didn't drop their leaves yet while 99 % of the other plants had fully lost them. Maybe it was very protected from winds?

I may not look like it but this day was full of showers - rain or snow later on/higher up.
