Description

One prominent feature in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are very narrow valleys that cut deep into the sandstone. The valley floor only measures 5-20 m and can narrow down all the way to 1 m. At the same time, the sandstone walls can rise up to more than 100 m on both sides. I found these really interesting because it just takes you a minute of walking and you feel like you are in a different world.
