- Flighty | Dense | Scatterbrained | Naïve | Noncommitting | Rash

Though he may appear intimidating Tikak is very friendly and he loves to talk (maybe a little too much sometimes). He is always brimming with energy and ready for someone to chat with. Being a very expressive character, it isn't difficult to get a read on exactly what he's feeling. Because of this he is terrible at lying, bluffing, and keeping up a poker face in general. Tikak is just an easygoing guy who speaks from the heart and he naively expects the same from others. He is incredibly dense and terrible at reading people. You're trying to drop a subtle hint that he's making you upset? Sorry, it probably flew right over his head. Unless someone is direct with him he probably won't realize a thing.

Even though Tikak isn't the most courageous Rito he enjoys exploring. Nothing makes him happier than seeing new places, meeting new people, and learning new things. He tends to make decisions on the fly and this occasionally leads him to trouble but when that happens Tikak doesn't hesitate to turn tail and flee. He doesn't seem to mind abandoning an adventure and is very quick to find something new to do. Unless it's very, very important to him it's rare for Tikak to fully commit to anything.

[History]
Tikak was born in Rito Village. His family consisted of a warrior father, a merchant mother, and two brothers only slightly older than himself. When he was young Tikak wanted to be a warrior, much like many of the other young Rito in the village including his siblings. So their father agreed to train them from an early age. Tikak's brothers were naturals with wielding a bow. Tikak on the other hand was not. As weeks passed with little to no improvement, he began to skip their archery training sessions and instead began to practice flying techniques on his own. Much to his joy he was actually good at it so he continued for the years to come.

So as the years went by he quit archery altogether and began to help his mother with her work. He had become quite the skilled flyer by then and he felt adequate as a merchant but... he still couldn't help but feel unsatisfied. What was the point of mastering complex flight maneuvers if he couldn't fight? He could easily fly through heavy winds and do all sorts of tricks but he couldn't even shoot a target while standing still on the ground? Tikak had some regrets about not sticking with his father's training, but he just couldn't forget how much he disliked archery. He was at a bit of a loss for what to do.

Tikak first heard about Laruto Village from a pair of travelers staying at the local inn. From them he learned that it was apparently a humble little town inhabited by races from all over Hyrule. He was intrigued and immediately began to get ideas. Perhaps, he thought, if he went there then he could learn about other combat styles and maybe find one that he could use. Even if that failed then he could at least get some good work done as a merchant. It seemed like the perfect plan! Tikak was filled with renewed optimism as he shared this with his family. They were a bit apprehensive, but ultimately agreed to let him go as long as he promised to visit at least once every few months. Tikak packed a few of his things and took off the next day, eager for his new beginning.
