So I've finally started doing a dex layout, it's not really anything flashy. Maybe as I update it'll look better. The reason I chose red was to have it resemble the gen 1 pokedex art, same with how the fakemon sprites where positioned. Honestly I think the only flashy thing I have here is the type symbols, hopefully you guys can tell which type is which depending on they symbol, i tried to make it as obvious as possible. Thanks to SuperiorCrown24 for a base they made for me to use/edit.Also I'll be updating the sprites and dex placement as we go.

Just wanted to stop in and say that these are some great sprites! Like legitimately great, keep up with what youβre doing. The old school style makes them stand out a lot, which I appreciate. Some of my favorite fakemon Iβve come across

Thank you so much for the kind comment dude! Like seriously this made me smile and blush a little. I've got more to come, and a few fix ups for some old mons along the way. Also it's really awesome to see your stuff again dude. I love your retypes and fakemon. And some of the redesigns and new ones you posted are great, I think Felistar is one of my favorite fakemon just for how dramatic the change is. Plus it's a lion head made of stars, how can you not like that?

dude this is awesome! I used to love seeing fakedex's, all these guys are designed really creatively and fix the gameboy aesthetic,Β
I love how you can see some inspirations from them, such as the clone sheep-like pokemon, or the red-nosed reindeer pokemon, they're all awesome!
It kinda reminds me of pokemon quartz, an old rom hack. It kinda inspires me to wanna do something like this, but then I remember I can't sprite soΒ Β
These are super cool though, and I can't wait to see it finished! (and sorry for the rant, I just really liked this

Ha thanks, I'm pretty passionate about fakemon and creature design in general, so hearing stuff like this really makes me wanna continue doing this knowing people enjoy it!XD

I believe anyone can sprite if they are willing to learn, sure people might not start good (I mean look at my earlier sprites, just ew) but with help and critics from others you can and will get better.

I guess you're right, I'd love to learn about and try and make fakemon sprites, obviously not as good as yours, but
I'd love to start practicing, guess I should go to the drawing board and think of some!

I do really like the design of this dex. It's simplistic looks really compliment the GBC graphics, and I think that the grass starter definitely stands out to me as the one I would pick. Are you planning on adding a fairy type? That's what it looks like from the last evo of the bug line

Thanks! Honestly with the grass starters I think the final evo needs a redesign and/or a sprite fix up along with the mid and final evo of the fire starter, also glad you like em, it's fun to hear what mon people would use or pick. And yes I'm planning on adding the fairy type.
