This looks fantastic. He looks like those monstrous masks you see in a number of Asian cultures, except he looks like an actual creature as well. I've never seen that before. Thank you for making my day a bit better.

There is something about the mythological, demonic, fairy-tale characters from the Far East (Japan, China, Vietnam, etc.) that allow you to recognize them almost immediately. I'm not exactly sure what it can be. If I had to guess - I'd say it's their face. Many of them wear a mask or their face looks like one. In this case, the lion's mane and visible fangs further enhance the impression. I remember seeing a samurai helmet (in a book or movie) looking almost exactly like the head of Kayoshi. On the battlefield the psychological effect of wearing a helmet like this must have been powerful.
I'm glad I can add this oriental demon to my collection of DA monsters and freaks!

Actually, things that you describe is my source of inspiration for this guy. He's not a "classical" oni, but something mixed, because he lives in my own setting.
