I'm so creative with titles. This looks so desaturated on my computer what...(Done on Procreate on the iPad3)
BUT
I FINALLY FINISHED THIS
After well over a year I'm sorry OTL
I still plan on doing a fanart for each book in the series! This was my first attempt EVER at a digital piece and even though I gave up halfway through, I have learned that I need to go lineless. DESPERATELY.
Anyway yeah. I'm so done with this. What scene should I do from Fire and Ice?

Longtail is a pale yellowish tabby tom with thick black stripes. I used to mistake him of a silver tabby. :I

From the Warriors Wiki, which the authors themselves use for reference (finally):
"Longtail is a pale silver tabby tom with dark black stripes, thin fur, lean shoulders, and a "V"-shaped nick in his ear."
There is no mention of yellow or the thickness of his stripes in the wiki, and therefore, anywhere in the books. I know the fandom tends to depict him as being yellow with more of a patch stripe pattern than tabby, but that's simply not canon. It's artistic freedom to color him otherwise, and that's fun! It's kind of like adding flame-like patterns on Firestar, stars on leaders, or other naturally impossible style choices (like... Scourge being blue). It's a fantasy series!
That being said, I prefer my fanart to follow canon, usually, so my Longtails will tend to be silver tabbies. ^^

Great job for a first digital piece!!
You've definitely already gotten past a lot of hurtles/mistakes I've seen/done when starting out. The lines are seperate from the colours, and the colour blending is good. As far as going lineless its tough, but the lines look good to me, I'd suggest sticking a transprancy lock on the layer and colouring them to make them softer if they're too strong for you (though it depends what progrm you use too). Just play with layers and styles.
Keep it up. As for a scene...one I've been menaing to do, page 308 when Leopardfur attacks Firepaw and Tigerclaw just sits there gloating.

Thanks so much! I'm wanting to go lineless in the future because I don't shade as well as I ought to with lines; the lines look like intense shadows but really my shading is too soft right now, I feel. With no lines, I'll be able to shade more without it looking silly. (intense shading with lineart is kind of... eh to me)(animeish)
I'm actually on an iPad! The program is "ProCreate" and I'm not sure what you said is an option... but I could probably just use a different color while lining in the future

Def worth it. It's simple enough to be easy to learn (Photoshop killed my soul) but has enough in the way of brush options, imports, and layers that it really has exactly enough to be a great program.

My original plan was to do Fireheart and Cinderpaw banging noses with Graystripe and Brackenpaw snickering in the background, but I think I'm going to do a battle scene with Leopardfur and Tigerclaw!
