Description
This theme has been designed to run on Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition. It's been tested using the Nokia N95 but should run on any Symbian S60v3 handset. As long as the screen resolution is 240x320, otherwise everything will be blown out of proportion. All the elements exist of vectors and have been made using Illustrator. It's my very first theme ever. I do plan on releasing an updated version with an additional wallpaper but for now this will have to do
Credits go to the following people:
-Gerrit Vanoppen (designer of the original Ayofe visual style)
-Xcaliber & Gerrit (for designing the original icons)
-FOURimpressions [link] (creator of the Aerolove background which has been recreated as a vector in the theme)
But most of all, thanks to my girlfriend kjherstin

Updates
---------------
<03 July> A few things have been fixed/improved and the input highlight (the search box) has been skinned now.
<08 July> A lot of standard icons, found in newer S60v3 phones, weren't listed in Nokia's theme studio. These have now been added manually as 'third party icons' and have also been themed.
<11 July> Some minor changes such as the way passive tabs appear in landscape mode.
<15 October> Carbide.ui 3.2 allows the calculator buttons to be themed so these have been done now. A bug/glitch with the tabs has been fixed as well.

Well, simply porting it won't be easy. It probably isn't fully compatible with the latest version of Symbian to begin with. Porting it to 320x240 won't be so easy... I never had a 320x240 Symbian phone myself and if anyone would port my theme, I would rather do it myself I'm afraid... At least that way I can vouch for the quality.

You'll have to ask the original creators of the Ayofe theme and icons (see the description) for permission, not me. I wouldn't like it if you would make an exact copy of my theme, however...

There's some minor glitches in the theme. First of all since i have 4 rows of icons in the menu, those uppermost icons are above that squared line, same thing happens when you're writing a message. The text is partly above that line. Otherwise it's a great theme.

I wanted to release a version with an alternative background, since it's impossible to avoid issues like these with the current one. If it won't look strange on one phone it will on another. Carbide.ui is quite an annoying app in that aspect, on your phone the theme never looks the way it does in the application.
I never finished this second version due to some personal matters though. On top of that, I'm not currently using Windows either so I can't even run Carbide at the moment.

you should credit "heylove" too, since she has created the shaded-iconset which you get obviously "inspired" from...

I did not "obviously" get inspired by those... Which you could have found out yourself had you done some more research instead of being a smartass.
I credited Xcaliber for creating Ayofe's original icons. The icons in my theme are based on (and inspired by) hers, not based on Shaded.
While they may bear a resemblance between the two, I can't say what inspired Xcaliber in creating her icons. All I can say is that my release includes additional variations designed to match those original Ayofe icons.

no matter what you say, fact is, that your theme would not
be how it is if heylove haddn't made the icons for shaded.
seems like that you are *smartass* enough to recognize that,
otherwise you would't react like that.

Had you simply formulated your message in a proper way, instead of stating your opinion/speculations as if they were a fact, and as if you're a moderator, then I wouldn't have called you a smartass.

DYR-R In reply to eggy [2009-03-30 13:40:21 +0000 UTC]
it is, how it is: you know the theme, you know heylove. if you had some guts, you could have just ignored my "moderator-like" message and add some credits to her work. instead, you're searching for excuses.
it's not a question of "proper formulations", and the similarity to her icons is undeniable. you know that. it can't be so hard to give her a line.

Who the fuck do you think you are? If he got the inspiration from Heylove he would have credited her. He didn't so live with it. You have artists like imrik and pricks who make gaia and wallpapers and crap. Do they credit the people they used the stock from? Bloody hell no! And they only make minor colour adjustments. No one says anything why? Because they were from areao4. Big fuckin deal! Does heylove give credit? No. They are all the same. So stop acting like an arsehole. If you have critique sure than give it. Now coming onto someone's page and complaining that no credit is just ridiculous.

eggy In reply to DYR-R [2009-03-31 22:21:53 +0000 UTC]
Why would I be looking for excuses? If I would have thought heylove deserved credits, I would have had no problem giving them to her, like I said before. I like to give credits to everyone who I thinks deserves them.
However, I still don't see any reason why I should give credits to her. If anyone should give credits to her, it would be xcaliber. And even that I'm not sure of. While there may be similarities in the icons' shapes, there are also plenty of differences. Whether one was inspired by the other is simply something I cannot say anything about. Then how am I supposed to give credit to heylove if I don't even know she deserves it?
Even if xcaliber was inspired by shaded, I wouldn't be the one who should credit heylove (that's not to say that I wouldn't).
I simply did not even think of shaded when I made these icons. I only looked at the original set and based mine on those, while adding additional icons in that style. Also, when I read your first message, I even thought Ayofe was older than Shaded.

I reacted like that because of the tone you used in your message. Saying that I was obviously "inspired" by heylove's icons. Adding the quotes even insinuates that my work is a ripoff.
I simply find that offensive. I gave credit to everyone who inspired me, had heylove inspired me, i would have had no problems giving credits to her.
Also, I never denied that heylove could have possibly helped make my theme the way it is. I can't give credit to heylove for possibly having inspired xcaliber though, I don't even know whether that is the case.

Hey to everyone that can't use this theme because of the certificate expiring, I think I know how to solve that problem.
If you change your phone clock back about 6months then try and install it, it should work.
I think that if you make a theme, it creates a certificate for the date. And nokia mobile phones will not install themes that have a certificate dated older than either 6 or 12 months.
So if you change your clock back, I think it will work. I read this somewhere, I'm not sure where though.
