Description This theme has been designed to run on Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition. It's been tested using the Nokia N95 but should run on any Symbian S60v3 handset. As long as the screen resolution is 240x320, otherwise everything will be blown out of proportion.


All the elements exist of vectors and have been made using Illustrator. It's my very first theme ever. I do plan on releasing an updated version with an additional wallpaper but for now this will have to do

<03 July> A few things have been fixed/improved and the input highlight (the search box) has been skinned now.

<08 July> A lot of standard icons, found in newer S60v3 phones, weren't listed in Nokia's theme studio. These have now been added manually as 'third party icons' and have also been themed.

<11 July> Some minor changes such as the way passive tabs appear in landscape mode.

<15 October> Carbide.ui 3.2 allows the calculator buttons to be themed so these have been done now. A bug/glitch with the tabs has been fixed as well.

Well this is great timing. As I said to *badboythemer , I've just upgraded to a Windows Mobile 5 device, so I can't use your theme, which makes me sad

That aside, this is absolutely incredible. Most themes these days are created in haste and aren't that stylish or even usable. This appears to be everything in one package. Keep up the fantastic work, and loving the subtle "I am the walrus" thing with your name and sig

HP iPAQ RW6828. It's a pretty good phone except for the camera, which takes forever to start up, and takes pretty terrible photos for a 2mp camera

I would flash the rom, but 1) I don't know if one is available for my device, 2) I like the software that comes with the device (I get a bunch of utilities I can't live without) plus WM5 works alright for me. I don't find anything really appealing in WM6 asides from it's looks XD

Well, there isn't a lot of difference. The icons look better but the theme itself isn't all that amazing imo.

However, WM6 is faster and has some small improvements that are worth it

I would upgrade if I could take all my applications with me, but alas I can't, and there isn't a WM6 upgrade for my phone (yet). I was thinking of hacking it to put Linux on, but again all the best programs are for Windows Mobile.. WINE for Mobiles

Plus I'm all for looks. That's why I'm enjoying Vista on my work computer. So shiny and new XD

The first and third screenshot's icons are definitely not the theme's fault. Those icons apparently don't come in Carbide.ui... Because I themed all of the icons, even additional custom ones. If anything, it's Carbide.ui's fault.

The SMS writer is a bug, yes. Carbide.ui didn't show that screen and the application is a pain in the ass in general; especially when you want to make a minimal theme. This screen is one of the reasons why I want to make a V2 of my theme with a different wallpaper, to avoid such silly things.

Ok, but imo these icons should be centered - 3x3 not 3x4? I dont know much about making themes, files like carbide.ui, etc. The fact is that theme is messed on my e50
