Description
My second "rainbow needles" picture.
I was on doubt how to achieve really good metallic look of metal parts... of course without v-ray, mental ray or kinda. And now i'm quite satisfied with result. However this one took almost 31 hours to render.
But it's worth it Cinema 4D, advanced render. Click download for 1680x1050.

What settings do u use for environment? I wonder if it is only a HDR with a simple plane floor.

Actually whole environment is HDR image... floor, sky...

Omg.. wow. i don't know what else to say.. 3d seems all too daunting for me to try =/ maybe one day, i would love to be able to do stuff like this (:

3D is so complex and take quite much time to learn... but if you can have patience you'll be rewarded

I can imagine, it took me two months to master photoshop, and thats 2D.. i'll wait till they teach me at uni.. much easier

It was boring at first, becouse I didn't know how to even control my view... but getting better and better brought power to me somehow
It is difficult to self-learn such program... there is only 1 book about C4D available in my language so I made my progress by experimenting...
