I really like how the cartoonish style of the characters and houses work together with the painterly style of the background elements. Several points of interest to draw the viewer, the main one clearly being the hunched man and the lantern. The lighting nicely shows off the colours of the surrounding plants, contrasting the mystery of the night with the beauty of nature. What drew my eye next was the moon. I love how it just peeks through the trees so that it doesn't hog too much attention. However, the bird's lighting seems a bit off, considering how dark the branch it's standing on is at that point. It might fit in more with a bit more shadow. It's not too big a deal, though, as I only noticed this as I was finishing off this comment. It does make it stand out more, so if that's what you were going for, you got it. Very nice work overall!
