They weren't saying the cat's breed is a sphynx, they are saying the personality is "sphinx"-like. The breed is spelled with a 'y', while the mythological beast, and also the personality type, is with an 'i', which is how they spelled it in the title. So basically, the cat has a "secretive" personality.

I'm not sure, but I think Chartreux is a class of "british shorthair". Then, most grey cats have blue eyes. Chartreux has amber-brown eyes.
