Wow first off it's like this cat is looking straight into your very soul and being.
It's such a wonderful photo that everything is perfect. The eyes are what i love most is the eyes. Simple so majestic and mysterious that even the eyes are the most dominate feature of the photo. Wouldn't like to see those eyes down a dark alley lol.
How you can catch at cat striking that particular pose is beyond me. It is hard so i respect how you managed to capture that particular pose since clearly not all cats love cameras lol. I knew that myself when i tried to take a photo of my cats.

Not only is this a gorgeous looking cat, it's also a gorgeously taken photograph.
What I really like about this shot is how the overall tone perfectly complements the colour of the cat's smoky fur. While the composition isn't an unusual one, I don't think it really matters that much because the combination of the tone, lovely focus and those piercing orange eyes packs enough of an impact as it is. Also, the choice of a square crop really works well for this type of image.
All in all, I think it's a wonderful photo that captures the beauty of the subject perfectly.

First off, well done with such a great subject. I find that it's often more challenging to take on a popular subject matter and make something imposingly beautiful out of it, such as this.
The overall hue choices give it a warmth which is rarely used to depict darker animals in photography. Sharpness around the front parts and emphasis around the eyes is spot on. It's interesting how some of the elements blurred out behind the cat pick up on the eye color a bit.
I have nothing negative to say about this photo. I'll add that it would be nice to see a close up of this cat as part of a larger collection.
