This kind of strikes me as a little funny.

I wonder how many dreams Alba had that Niles won't let her live down.

Hehehe... I guess that's one (and only I guess) downside of sleeping in a fortunian. One must hope that they don't dream or at the least their dreams aren't embarrassing

My universe's pilots have no problems and, in fact, they really like sleeping in their living airliner colleagues as they feel comfy and safe in them. (Usually if they're out of their homebase after doing a lot of flights and they have a flight tomorrow. But it's not rare that they want to stay with them).

Besides that, my pilots don't have to worry about their airliners scanning their dreams.

When on a trip, most pilots will stay in a hotel - airline preference. Fatigue is a serious issue in aviation, and sleeping in a narrow cabin seat is not ideal. Only the closest of plane/pilot relationships will spend the night together.

Ah, of course.

Of course unless, if the pilots wanted to, it's a cockpit seat which are designed (or "evolved" if you may) for long periods of sittng, business or first class seats (especially the lie flat ones), or, in the case of wide-bodies, using the beds in their crew rest areas.

Well, most airliners socialize late into the evening. They work all day and then go have fun when they're not on the line. Thus, they're no good place to sleep.
