Description
Found this looking through my polaroids folder and thought it deserved to be seen; so here it is. Shot from the ferris wheel in Chicago's Navy Pier. Stuck the camera out the window and took the photo without looking through the viewfinder. I think about half the time I shoot i dont look through the viewfinder.05.27.2006 // Polaroid 600
Thanks for looking

You and I have the same polaroid camera,
where do you get your film? I've looked and called everywhere in my town and apparently no one carries the film anymore

You have to compinsate for the viewfinder anyway, so it really dosn't matter if you use it!
THIS IS GREATNESS!

Beautiful overhead shot! It's a really nice polaroid.. It's also really neat that there's a slight motion blur.

It's really pretty, all summery and stuff! And for once, we get to see this from up above.

haha, a lot of times i don't look in the viewfinder either. although, not with film now there's talent!
lots of interesting things about this shot. first of all, i really love the perspective, looking down on everything. and the boldness of the orange and red stripes really gets you interested in the photo (i don't know why, but it reminds me of a mushroom. ). then, there are a lot of really subtle things that make the photo interesting. for instance, the people...i like how small they seem, and how they're all spread out in various ways (and their shadows, too!). another thing i really love is the location. there's seemingly no other 'attractions' there...it's just as if this ferris wheel was plunked right down in the middle of the city for no reason. love that irony. very cool shot!

Very nice shot.
It's a great angle, not particularily common, and it gives a relatively typical scene a new perspective.

I know it's just the fact that they're spinning so fast, but it looks like they're dead (just as their shadows are), just laying there. It's so subtle, and I love that. I wonder if I'm the only one who noticed that.
Really nice shot!

no, the swings are taken down in the winter. i think you can still go on the ferris wheel -- but it'd be really really cold up there so i dunno
