Found this looking through my polaroids folder and thought it deserved to be seen; so here it is. Shot from the ferris wheel in Chicago's Navy Pier. Stuck the camera out the window and took the photo without looking through the viewfinder. I think about half the time I shoot i dont look through the viewfinder.

where do you get your film? I've looked and called everywhere in my town and apparently no one carries the film anymore

You have to compinsate for the viewfinder anyway, so it really dosn't matter if you use it!

haha, a lot of times i don't look in the viewfinder either. although, not with film 
lots of interesting things about this shot. first of all, i really love the perspective, looking down on everything. and the boldness of the orange and red stripes really gets you interested in the photo (i don't know why, but it reminds me of a mushroom.

I know it's just the fact that they're spinning so fast, but it looks like they're dead (just as their shadows are), just laying there. It's so subtle, and I love that. I wonder if I'm the only one who noticed that.

no, the swings are taken down in the winter. i think you can still go on the ferris wheel -- but it'd be really really cold up there so i dunno
