So, my youngest (1 right now) can't sleep with the lights on (we co-sleep). But I'm wide awake. And it is storming out right now. So, we're listening to music in bed (Les Miserables) and I'm trying to get her to chill out and go to sleep (she loves to stand up and fall onto me/the bed over and over. She will shower me with kisses and Razzberries to keep herself up too. My kid is awesome. ) .

Anyway, I've always been distracted by how beautiful the raindrops are on our bedroom window screen. Our window faces the street. Our street has other houses on it. They usually have their porch lights on, plus we have street lights speckled throughout the entire neighborhood.

When it is stormy out the wind pushes the raindrops directly onto my window. The rain also catches on the screen itself. So I have two layers of raindrops. Ontop of that, the wind moves the screen and it creates this excellent shimmer effect.

I wasn't able to capture that (you know, since it's moving and all), but I did get some neat shots I wanted to share with all of you.
