Description
This photo does NOT contain ANY original artwork, screenshot etcThis is a photo of my self made Silent Hill 2 Mannequin Monster, the background is a photo of the FULL SIZE (!!!) Blue Creek Apartment set, built by my husband.
I love how it turned out, it was a pain in the butt to paint the Mannequin since I have no airbrush or anything like that.

great detail.
The Mannequin is my 3nd favorite silent hill monster.
Its sad that they didn't put it in the silent hill movie.

How long did it take you to make it?

uuhh... I worked on the little Mannequin Monster for... I can't remember exactly, but it was done within 4 days I guess?
Makes me wonder how long it would take to make a life size Mannequin Monster o.O

Wow, the detail and accuracy is AMAZING~! Is that from an actual scene in the game? I'm pretty sure that there was a Mannequin placed by the Fire Escape door... Anyways, great job!

thank you! well, no scene in particular, but at Blue Creek Apartment there were lots of Mannequin Monsters roaming the hallways, so I thought it would really fit here ^^

Holy shit, this is amazing!!! The Mannequin has always been my favourite SH creature, so, this really stood out to me as being astoundingly made. Perfect, actually. Instant fav!
I was also shocked to find out it wasnt full sized - amazing!

lol thank you very much! I love the mannequins too, they look creepy but not exaggerated bizarre, that's why I wanted to make one of them.
Actually I do want to make a full size version too after I moved to my husband, out of real mannequin parts! That will be fun

JudgementOfMan In reply to EileenGalvin [2007-05-20 08:32:57 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, thats what i love about most silent hill creatures - theyre just deformities of humans, not exaggerated in the slightest. Check out my gallery for a few personal sketches of SH esque creatures too, if you'd like
But awesome, make a full sized one, definitely!! If you want some inspiration actually, are you familiar with the work of Hans Bellmer? He has a surrealist photographer who made some strange figures out of mannequins - one of which looks spookily like the mannequin demon from Silent Hill. Appears to have inspired the creature itself All his work is of pre-pubescant dolls too, and like the mannequin demon, his dolls represent repressed sexual desire.

oh yes, I know about Hans Bellmer! I know the "SH Mannequin" he made, but when I make my own one I will stick to the original game design. I just love how all that stuff looks! I am currently working on another SH creature miniature, with some luck I will have finished it in a few days and upload pics on here!

EileenGalvin In reply to Darkmoose84 [2007-05-18 06:01:02 +0000 UTC]
Barbie legs, modelling clay, liquid latex... actually it wasn't really difficult at all, especially since the whole thing is not big. Just need some imagination
