This is probably one of my most favorite cosplay photos ever; my sister as one of the most awesome Rikkus and myself as Lulu.This photo was taken in September 2006
I know the picture is quite big, but when I resized it before I thought that it loses too much detail, so I decided to upload it in the original size. And yet it is still more blurry than the original, which is crystal clear in photoshop...

I just cut belt-shaped pieces out of the cardboard and covered them with pleather. Painted those in the different colors. The buckles are made of wood, but I guess you can make them out of clay too (didn't think about clay back then). Oh, and of course I punched holes in the belts, with this thing for punching extra holes into belts. That made them look more realistic.
The moogle was a gift I got from my little sister, she ordered it online back then in 2003 in an online store which doesn't exist anymore :-/

ohhh yeah! i thought you might have. Im working on a Lulu dress at the moment and i found that the leatherette im using can be painted onto. I think it gives a really nice effect. And im the kind of person who gets annoyed by girls who use any old lace on their Lulu dress lol XD

yeah, that's something I don't like either, just using some white lace which doesn't look like in the game at alll...

I just made the belts myself out of cardboard and leather, and painted the lace pattern on the trim ^^

yes! Only the corset was bought, but I still had to change it a bit on the front and add the grey leather lines

Usually whenever I go to a convention, the costumes are horrible....and the people wearing them are even worse. One time I saw a middle aged man wearing a Kagome outfit, and he was covered in black hair...and don't even get me started about the really overweight Izayoi. (i think that's how you spell Inuyasha's mother's name)
