A harsh truth but if it's forgotten and if Twilight and her friends did indeed fail friendship to warrant any punishments given to them and if Tempest truly has forgotten what friendship is really all about besides the pains it brings, their suffering from failing friendship and friendship failing them all will be warranted and justified no matter what anybody says.

To me Twilight didn't fail friendship, its not her fault.
Her friends failed friendship, they made a same mistake they did in Canterlot Wedding, they ignored her feelings and they ignore the threats in Equestria and that almost destroyed her destiny as Princess of Friendship.
