They weren't whitewashed; all three faces have the same base skintone as the first one, but were color adjusted for the other two environments (light yellowish light for Horizon and the pale blue of London).

Whoah! This is amazing! I always love seeing Kaidan Alenko fanart and yours is always the best. I like that you took that one quote and rang with it. That line stuck with me too. Showing Kaidan Alenko's appearance change was really cool. It's amazing how he can appear to age over the course of the games, but still look great. I also like that you had his expression change also, that was a nice touch. Fantastic work!
