Do I mean the tree or whatever it is that she's up to?
So I found this:Β sta.sh/02g4oc1y7l7t on an old flash drive recently and I remembered that one time I tried to make a character when I was 14 lol I don't remember what her name or story or anything was supposed to be, just that she was a pirate because I loved pirates (and still do!) and that, friends, was the extent of my character-creating capabilities wooooo

Well, for the pose I looked at myself in the mirror doing the same action, and I did some google searching of tropical beaches and pirate ships to get inspired for the background, but didn't use one image in particular for reference
Generally, as for process, I don't use lineart, just super rough sketches and then immediately block in colors and refine from there
