No sadly you need to be a premium (subscribed) member to have access to the journal CSS

Is this included for only membership?

You need to be a premium member of DA to be able to use skins in your journal, bu if you are a premium member, you are free to download and install this

Hi, I'm using the Wireframe Black CSS and I find that the lines of text have too much space in between them (like its double-spaced) so where in the code can I change that?
π: 0 β©: 1
Elandria In reply to AniDrewit [2011-08-26 21:37:58 +0000 UTC]
Well thats a new one on me, there isn't any coding to make the lines double height that I can think of, I'll need to go and have a look as its been so long since I checked through this code.

AniDrewit In reply to Elandria [2011-08-27 02:36:51 +0000 UTC]
It's possible this happened after I altered the code (for sourcing my own images and links) but I'm very sure I followed the directions exactly.

Well I've just gone through my orignal code here in this live journal - [link] and the only thing I can think of is that you've not closed the tag for the title, which has a line height of 58 px, which is very similar to what your text is showing. Make sure you've closed all the div tags properly and you're not inserting your normal content in between an active title div tag Let me know if this helps!
π: 0 β©: 1
AniDrewit In reply to Elandria [2011-08-27 20:52:23 +0000 UTC]
I found what the problem was! It was an unclosed div tag but the tag was for the links underneath the title. That also solves the boldface problem too. Apparently I accidentally erased that bit of code upon editing. Thanks for the help!

Sorry to bother, but can a journal CSS be used for a folder's gallery CSS? I've found so many journal designs that I like and want to use for my folder's gallery but the gallery CSS designs on dA aren't what I've been looking for :/
π: 0 β©: 1
Elandria In reply to AnimeFan-16 [2011-08-03 08:55:02 +0000 UTC]
Sadly they are slightly different as they use different tag names etc. Best thing to do is to use a styled gallery look, then ask if you can edit it to add your own images etc.

Hey `Elandria , I'm having a problem placing the code in my journal. When I go to post a new journal entry, the dA journal template has no seperated CSS journal boxes.. I'll show you what I mean
[link]
On the left is your journal sample.jpg and on the right is the journal options i get presented with. I am subscribed (note beta tester).. so i dunno :\ lost thanks for reading

Elandria In reply to ellenlilyphoto [2011-05-24 14:14:39 +0000 UTC]
Thats because since I posted this design DA have done several updates to the styling of the CSS journal edit pages. Most recently implementing the "live" preview.
However, you are still looking for the same "boxes" in which to copy and paste from the text files.
Firstly you need to click on the blue link which states "edit skin" on the top left. This will pop up a new window in which you will find the "header" "skin CSS" and "footer" boxes where you can paste in the similarly named text files. At this point you also need to update the URL's for the images in the main CSS text, and personal info in the footer as described in the original instructions
Once the URL's are updated and you've given the CSS skin a name, and saved it, you should be taken back to the main journal edit page.
From here you can paste in the "journal entry" text from the file into the main box. You should now also be able to see all the images working for the background etc. IF you don't, there will be an issue with the altered URL's and you will need to go back to the skin you just created and check them before resaving.
Please note that the "live" journal preview DOESN'T show additional div tags like the extra titles and boxes, so you will still need to hit the "preview" button to get the full effect of the coding before you submit your entry
This might sound a lot to do, but in principle, even though the layout of the edit journal page has altered it should still be a fairly straight forward process to get your journal working using this design. Take the time to go through the instructions step by step and if you have any other issues just yell me back and I will help as much as I can

Sometimes it just takes a bit of tweaking Try making the main background a matt black or purple which will make the title images and other bits stand out better

really?? maybe your virus checker is picking up the CSS file... honestly I downloaded this only yesterday to check some files for another user and had no issues at all. Nobody else has ever had an issue either... how odd :S

Just a case of copying and pasting the bits of code into your journal boxes, and as long as you know how to upload images to your own photobucket or imageshack account its really more of taking your time to get each step done right Give it a go and if you get stuck just note me and I'll try and help
