Description
So this character from Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, I hear that in Japan, Vivian is supposed to be a male and not a female... but did that stop me from drawing it as a female? Nope.I haven't played this game, so I don't know anything about it or Vivian, but I did like her design, so I drew her. ^_^
The background was.. eer inspired (Copied) by Monato Esprit's (Another game that I don't know anything about but has GORGEOUS character designs) website's front page design.

Uh huh! You know those ghosts in the Mario games called Boo? They chase you if you look away, but stop moving cuz of shyness if you are looking at there direction? I think that she is a Boo, but I'm not sure.
The hips uuuuh, hmm. I intended them to look kind of like the left one is standing semi straight, while the right one would be bending forward, which is kinda hard to tell since the rest of her legs are not really legs, I guess. x_x Make sense?

Ahhh, now it makes more sense. I still think it MAY be visible just a slightly bit, but don't really take me seriously on this, I might be wrong anyway =X. But yeah, going for a pose like this with a character such as this one seems difficult because of the shading. You did a great job, tho. I also love the hands and gloves =O

Spooky and ghost like. I feel haunted just by looking at the image, while at the same time the phrase "where's Waldo" comes to mind. Very confused young man I be.
Love the detail to this image though, (Points in particular to the gloves). Will Mario forsake Peach and call the ghost his new love?! (Ohh, the nexts Corpse's Bride flick! hehe)

Haha! I heard that this character does kiss Mario a few times in the game, not sure if that was in the domestic and/or Japanese version, tho. ...Peach drove Mario to necrophilia with her constantly paying him no attention! xD

But yah! What a tease! He goes from castle to castle in SMB 1, and she's only in the last one. I think she's in all of them, but leaves whenever Mario gets inside and makes a Toad stay behind. xD
And the ending of Mario 3, she says that the real princess is in another castle... "just kidding". She's really messing with his emotions, haha.

I know, I knooooow! I wanna play Flying For Fun without the computer freezing for 2 minutes per 2 steps I take, and CoV again and PSU when that comes out but I'll prolly have the PS2 version and not the PC version anyway... Monato looks really cute but I probably couldn't understand it since it's a Korean game... A fan, that's what I might need, a computer fan. But I get so tired of messing with the computer to make that stuff work.

Hahahaaa! xD She's a ghost. I shoulda made the tail thing fade in opacity like I had planned to, that woulda made things more convincing, I think. ^_^ Never did think about it before I posted this and got feedback, but it seems like red and white hats like these are pretty unoriginal, haha!

Actually, she's something known as a Shadow Siren. Shadow Sirens look like ghosts, but they are actually living creatures as opposed to being the undead.
Shadow Sirens have the ability to melt into the shadows to practically become one with darkness (they each also have an extra elemental power as well. Vivian has power over fire, which is shown by the red tones in her hat and hair). Despite this, they can survive out in the sunlight as opposed to most other creatures that dwell in the dark.

She wont join you until Chapter 4, but you do meet her in chapter 2, but as an enemy at first. You'll get all the details eventually.

Actually, she isn't a ghost- she's a Shadow Siren. I'm pretty sure it's just another race used in Paper Mario. Pretty interesting one, if I do say so myself.
