I have been doing some test about mapping texture images in blender cycles, and this is the best combination I have got.I have used stone texture pack of CGCookie and Blender 2.64 RC1.

Great texturing, a little more spec to highlight the highest areas feels like it's needed to not make it feel very flat, but still very nice
