I know, I know, my OCs again. Nobody cares but they make me happy, haha
I already uploaded the complete triad [link] in textform but today I felt like drawing down some portraits.
My first time directly colouring pencil-drawings and I like the outcome. It's nicely organic, what do you think?
I must say I am totally in love with Manda's parents and the twins. Kuzai looks just plain evil and in charge and Lodah is probably the most beautiful woman I've ever drawn (besides Manda hurrrr), glad I gave her that little oriental twist. I also like Jatuk, he's the kind of guy you just love to hate, such an obvious prick XD I'm not so sure about Surrun's design, he might be changed in the future... maybe it's just the expression. Same about Haroma.
Some description (copypasta from previous deviation):
Hakkum (55, waterbender)
The leader of the Whaletails. He knows almost everyone in Republic City, his network is wide spread. Very friendly and hospitable, well respected among his men and the head of the family. His character reminds me of the clichΓ© oriental men from the basars, greeting everyone and kowing everyone in town. He has a surprisingly wide knowledge about torture.
Haroma (56, waterbender, healer)
Hakkum's wife. A very strong and straight forward woman of few words. She keeps the money together and pulls the strings from the background. She's more feared than Hakkum.
Surrun (30, waterbender)
Hakkum's and Haroma's oldest son, his fathers right hand and future godfather. Very mature and fatherly but a bit of a coward unless his family is in danger. Always has at least one bodyguard by his side. Taught Demetri waterbending.
Jatuk (28, non-bender)
2nd in line and a total wannabe-ladies-man. He likes to party and throws the money around, much to his parents' disliking. Talks sugesstive to almost every woman but never manages to score. Usual client in the brothel.
Tokum and Tugak (both 25, identical twins, non-benders)
Your usual thugs. They are basically the same person in two bodies and have a thing for guns, explosions, beating others up. Both are Kanabo-fanboys and usually hang around with him - for him they are like a replacement for the brothers he left home. That team of three usually does the dirty work.
Kuzai (54, firebender)
In charge or the external affairs of the triad and very intelligent. He's always consulted if important decisions must be made, some members consider him the 2nd leader of the Whaletails. Best friends with Hakkum. Passionate father, hard-working, fair, always pushes forward. He can be very intimidating.
Lodah (51, non-bender)
Wife of Kuzai and Haroma's sister. Humble, quiet and inconspicuous woman.
Manda (26, firebender)
Elegant and smart woman with a fierce firebending-style her father taught her. Growing up in the triad made her tough. Very ambituious and straight-forward, has a dry sense of humor. A little too much into torture. Her uncle's favourite. Currently working as a secretary at Cabbage Corp (Gaju is her boss)

Omg yeah Manda's dad. He reminds me a bit of Dschafar from Aladdin... just more evil. I think I need to draw him with a happier expression soon, nobody's going to be lieve me that he can be nice too XD

Actually, I'm working on Kasa's family design.
I redrew how Sitsi would look like five times. I'm trying to pick out my favorite one and or thinking maybe I should combine two designs into one. I think I'm going to make Sitsi either as 25 or 26. What do you think?
As for the guys and mom, I sorta have an idea but haven't sketched them out yet.
I wanted to do Sitsi first since she might be the "easiest" for me. I know for sure, since Sitsi's character has been set. (She's really overly nice, motherly, obedient, (sadly a pushover since she doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings which usually results in Kasa accompanying her everywhere sometimes since she doesn't want people to take advantage of her), but she's also very easily frightened. I think I'm going to make her a good cook and she loves to paint. But lately, I think I wanna change the idea of her being engaged and leaving the Southern Watertribe with her fiance. I can't think of a guy character she would be with nor have any idea of her love interest. Besides, I know when Kasa and Akano leave, her parents would be sad and Sitsi would be the one to take care of them and spend her time with them too.
I think I like the idea of Sitsi falling in love for the first time and asking Kasa for fashion and make up advice while asking Dem about advice men alot. XD I bet Kasa and Dem would be like" ...OMG YOU HAVE CRUSH ON SOMEONE!!! AWWWWWW" XD

You can make Sitsi as young/old as you want, just keep in mind how old her parents are, they should have a realistic age-gap ^^
Ahhh what about Sitsi's finacΓ©? Does that mean Yahtol will throw all of his "You're my son!"-father-in-law-ishness (what a word) on Dem? XD I like that idea. It must be weird asking the younger sister for advice and I'm a sucker for weird uncomfortable situations ^^
Having a crush on someone doesn't necessarily mean becoming a happy couple, what if the guy treats Sitsi very bad (and has to face the wrath of the triad afterwards, muahuahua!)

Well, I'm still deciding on Sitsi's thing. Maybe she will have a fiance or not. I still need to work out her thing. XD
Actually, Kasa will be like shocked at first as to "Why does Sitsi want to be fashionable, wear makeup, and change her hairstl-OMG SHE HAS A CRUSH ON SOMEONE!" Kasa will think this whole thing so cute. Of course she wouldn't change Sitsi completely. Since Kasa wants to make Sitsi still look like Sitsi. She of course would use light or natural make up for Sitsi, pick out stylish yet still Sitsi like clothes for hair, and maybe do a different hairstyle. Kasa and Sitsi may be different but Kasa treats her like her best friend. She talks to her about everything since Sitsi patiently waits, listens, and offers some advice without judging. Plus it's funny but Sitsi does act like the ideal older sister but sometimes Kasa has to act like the older sister for Sitsi since she is just too kind hearted and too soft on people how are putting her down or treat her rude. Kasa NEVER allows anyone to talk down or be mean at Sitsi and if they do, let's say Kasa doesn't need bending to teach rude people a lesson. XD
OMG...Sitsi in a abusive realtionship...Oh man. That would be intense...Kasa's entire family will literally beat the crap and torture the guy who ever treats Sitsi wrongly. Lmao I think that would be the only time Kasa would want someone to actually die. In that Case, I think flat out Kasa will demand that the abuser gets taken to Kanabo the twins to get the ass whoopin of a life time. XD
Lmao I love this headcanon. I know after the whole, "You saved me family for evil triads" thing, Yahtol will freakin adore Dem. XD I think also the fact Yahtol and Tala remember Dem or Kasa saying he doesn't have a father and his mother died at a very young age, they so wanna baby him and be his substitute parents.

Like Yahtol would want to spend time with Dem and Akano for some "Manly Men time." XD While Tala will coo over Dem and then (since she's an amazing cook) will keep feeding him and being all motherly to him. Sitsi would be just so happy for Kasa and Dem when they are a couple (since Sitsi never judged Dem hard and actually found him a kind gentlemen to her little sister and that's all she wanted for Kasa.) So Sitsi will most likely just feel comfortable and be the same around Dem (lmao the only normal and sensible one) Akano will freakin love Dem like the older brother he never had and will seek advice as to how to flirt with girls since Akano is scared to death of them and is shy to girls. XD
Yahtol and Tala would also offer one of the guest rooms in there house and say "You can live here forever if you want!

I can imagine Dem taking Akano to the brothel (just for advice from the girls since he had that when he was young) and Akano will be overwhelmed by these painted and fancy dressed ladies, knowing what they do for a living. They will give him advice on things he clearly isn't old enough for and they will be all over him since he's so young, innocent and cute XD

Thank you! Poor Kasa. She had to put up with Shaozu's constant pick up lines almost twice a month all because she forgot her pro bending tickets. She regrets not flirting with Ming instead of that day. At least he would take the hint. XD

Kasa dislikes Tahno (lmao although I personally love tahno and the wolf bats so much XD) but Kasa LOATHES Tahno's fan girls more. No really. The Ta-hoes and her have a rivalry going on. Kasa laughs at the fact those two try so hard to attract men, while she herself doesn't have to try at all and men fall for her less than a second.
I think to make the story even more funny is that Kasa finds out that the tickets were in her coat pocket the entire time. So she wouldn't have had to flirt with Shaozu from the beginning. XD
I wonder how Dem will react to this story. He'd probably choke on his drink and die of laughter. While Kasa cheeks puff up in anger and goes "Shut up Dem! It's not funny!" Then she would burst out laughing too at the irony of her situation. XD

Dem will laugh his ass off and tease Kasa about it whenever he can. Like when they're talking he suddenly waves and shouts: "Heya Shaozu, c'mere!", even if he's not there just to freak Kasa out.
Or if Shaozu is there he playfully pushes her in his direction: "Look at that guy, isn't he handsome? I think he likes you."
If Shaozu somehow bothers Kasa Dem will be a gentleman and protect his girl.

If Dem pushes her, Kasa will literally give him a glare for pushing her but then she would twirl her little side pony tail, grinning, and go "Pfft. Please Dem. Likes me? The boy is CRAZY about me! Not that I blame him. He does have amazing taste in girls, I will give him that!" XD She then will frown. "Still, For someone as handsome as he, I never realized how obsessively stalkerish not to mention persistent he is into having me. Poor thing. Wanting what he can never have. :c "
Although if Shaozu did see Kasa, he will flat out go to her and corner her, trying to make out with her. Kasa of course, slaps him, hits him with her purse, or her favorite waterbends his drink into his crotch making it look like Shaozu peed himself.

Awww Thank you. They have their moments of seriousness but they are such softies and goofy parents. Kasa loves them for it. They still act lovey dovey teenagers. Lmao No. Like Akano doesn't want to dissapoint his Dad, (because Yahtol was a ladies man for sure back in the day), and wants him to think he can be a ladies man too. (Akano despite mischievous, is also very innocent and well he doesn't understand the true meaning of ladies man" yet. XD Kasa and Sitsi told him this term because they don't want to soil his mind yet. XD)
But Akano thinks that talking to a girl and having female friends, is the true defintion of a ladies man. The thing is, although he inherited good looks from his parents, talented waterbending skills like his father, (Also his father's mischevious side as well as popularity), He didn't inherit his Yahtol's charm with women. Akano is deathly afraid of girls although he likes girls. He gets nervous and flat out runs away from a girl when he gets a chance to talk to one. He doesn't want to let his dad down and show him, he can be like him.
Sitsi and Kasa know about this and they flat out tell Akano, it's okay and that Dad loves him to death and he wouldn't care. (Which is the truth. Yahtol loves his little boy. He thought he'd never have a son after Sitsi and Kasa and thought when Tala was pregnant with Akano, he was gonna be a girl for sure). But Akano wants to be nice with girls his own age. He thinks that his Dad was nice with girls. Tala and Kasa go "Oh, he was nice to girls, alright." XD

I think Kasa will end up flat out comically hurt and cry when she finds out her brother took other's woman's advice instead of her own. She planned on talking about women with Akano when he was 13. She will think she lost her sass, flirt, and charm and go into a comical sulky phase.
Lmao Man. Those two would be doing it like everyday won't they? XD I know for sure, after they do it, Kasa will gently hold his face and go "Don't think your getting off easy. You will pay for telling my brother these things. You won't know when, but I will totally get back at you for this." (Most likely punshing him with sex act that he enjoys too much.) XD
Like when Dem and Kasa do it for the first time, Kasa will be nervous, lose her cool a bit here and there, but Dem helping and leading her through their first time, will make her feel very special and flat out think more than ever he's the sweetest guys ever for being so patient and kind to her. However, after their first time and the next time they do it, Kasa flat out gains her flirty confidence back and probably be very curious and explore what Dem really likes. ;D

I can see Dem scratching his chin and Uzi walks by singing "manwhore~" Dem instatnly narrows his eyes and says to Uzi: "It's funny, you open your mouth and only shit comes out. I guess you're an assface." - "Oh look who's talking.", says Uzi with a smug face and bows down to Kasa: "I'd be more than happy to give you something to compare.", then he kisses her hand. Dem will grab him by the collar and slam his fist in his face.
"Don't. Touch. My girlfriend." Uzi lunges at Dem but he's stopped by Tokum, Tugak holds Dem. Then Hakkum steps between them and says with a loud laugh: "Kids these days! Always torn by their hormones, aren't they? Young lady, I hope our Demetri popped your cherry like a gentleman or I'll have a word with him.", making the situation even more embarassing for Kasa, everybody's looking now. Awkward silence. Kasa is red like a tomato and hides her face: "I'll move to the Northpole. I can't stay here anymore." Dem gives her a cheerful smile: "Relax, they will have forgotten about it tomorrow, no big deal." Kasa will be a bit pissed off and hides in a corner. Manda comes to her and gives her a hug. "Sheeesh... You're trembling." - "This is so embarassing." - "I know, uncle is always like that. When he found out I had my 1st time he threw a party. They had a cake with a picture of me and a writing saying "Finally a woman!". I wanted to sink in the ground. You don't have any privacy in this family." - "Manda..." - "Hm?" - "I don't want a cake." - "Haha I know. I'll stop uncle from doing anything stupid." ^^

Lmao XD Poor Kasa. She knew since she was a virgin, that her first time would hurt. Dem I assume was very nice to her but it still hurt like hell for her XD But she thought the pain would be gone after they slept. Clearly she was in for a big surprise.
Kasa will vow she will someday get Kanabo even the twins back. XD I have this headcanon, if Kasa gets pregnant in the future, Kanabo and twins would be there with her (I dunno, talking, making jokes of her for getting so huge. XD) But then I can see that her waterbreaks and she begins to have contractions. Lmao, this is the only time when Kasa is shown to be extremely terrifying like her father since she is pissed and panicky in pain, and begins to shout out the twins and Kanabo to help her, take her to the nearest hospital or healer. Then she would yell at the twins to get her family right now and meanwhile she tells Kanabo who tries to sneak the hell away from Kasa. "WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING? GET YOUR ASS BACK IN HERE. I CAN'T BE ALONE! I NEED YOU UNTIL MY FAMILY COMES. IF YOU DON'T, I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN, AND KICK YOUR ASS!" XD (Note: the only time, she's not scared of Kanabo and truly and utterly beyond pissed off and not charming at all.)
I can imagine seeing the Kasa crossing her arms and glaring at Dem for thinking as he strokes his chin and trying not to giggle at the bickering between Dem and Uzi. I think the moment, Uzi kisses her hand, she wanted to be like "Awww Aren't you sweet? But I'm happy with Dem and I don't think he'd like-." ...That was before he punched him. Kasa will of course, go "O_O'" when she sees Uzi and Dem fight and then try to calm Dem down ask if he's okay and even ask Uzi is he's okay. xD

I also have this funny headcanon where after the triads helps their family, Sitsi wants to personally thank the triad for their help and makes them a huge lunch for them. Kasa however goes with her, insisting that she help (but in reality she wants to protect Sitsi from the men...mainly jatukXD) Sitsi however is just so shy when entering and she is very friendly. I think the triads would be amazed how Sitsi is way different from Kasa.
