Yay another animation, wtf is wrong with me? XD
Another MAP-part, mega-rough and hella unfinished. I still like it, feels like I leveled up my animation game again, although there are many shitty bits in there. Nowhere to go but forward! Btw you can still www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaj3Eo… ">join the MAP, there are still open slots I'd be happy to see this thing finished, although I'm not the host myself.
The character's name is Tabane, she is an OC I share with mah gurl
I did some redesigning on her, I hope that's ok. She's so much fun to draw like this, holy moly!
As usual, I'm a sucker for feedback, I'd love to hear thought and citiques, since it's still at a stage where I can fix errors relatively easily.

I love her design! She's very beautiful! ^^ Tabane has some serious moves! (Can she teach me how to move like that? Shoot I can't even move elegantly unless I'm accidentally knocking things over. XD)

She's like a mix of her LOK, HS and FT-design, I really like the lopsided angular bangs from the FT-thing and those clothes are more casual and sorta hip-hop-y so I felt like that matched her and gave her something unique the other characters didn't have. The moves are sorta random to match with the music of the clip, but they were fun to animate. Especially the slidey-thing she does at the beginning. Idk if she would be a good teacher XD That skating thing seems more like Yura tbh.
(I'm so sorry that I take so long to reply to all the other long headcanons, when I'm in the "the zone" I have to use the creative juices and can't comment then X_X I'll get around to it eventually! Or we shift it to the chat on tumblr, shorter posts are much more managable atm.)

(Please don't apologize! Girl it's okay! :3 *hugs* I get it. Honestly I have lost my zone when I got carpal tunnel on my hand back in November and well I would kill to have my creative juices flowing again. Believe me. I totally understand! Go for it girl! )

But there is at least one point of concern. That spin once before jumping back starts too suddenly and lasts a bit too short. One step of inbetween until it's done would probably help. But that might desync it from the music, so...
Also, what is the sliding actually happening on? And what is the bounce from? Since it seems to be the same spot the person came from. I guess it will make more sense once it's all done, but it's a bit confusing at the moment

I can try to steal some frames for an inbetween for the spin elsewhere, maybe from the moving-back-motion after the spin, to make it sharper. This is all on 2s, so there's still room to mess with the framerates in one direction or the other. You're right, there are two frames with lots of change with only one tween between them. I thought I could get away with it when I blur the living heck out of that tween but apparently that's not how it works XD
For the sliding I'll probably use a wavy pipe and try to make it look like the camera is moving backwards while the character slides forward, to give more of an impression of speed. Once the closeup comes in I'll remove that from the background. The bounce is just supposed to be a dance move lmao. Once she does the salto backwards I have a graphical design in mind that fits with the movement of the character and the music. Since this will be only back and white, I think that will look pretty sweet in the end.
