This picture was done to an unusual mix of the Beastie Boys' new album "Hot Sauce Committee Part Two" and some Sophie Ellis-Bextor tracks.I just randomly sketched the piece last night and twiddled away in Photoshop CS4. I wanted the sketch to be kind of persepctive, while the end result came out nitty and gritty. A style that seems to fit the piece very well.
It is supposed to have urban tones to it. You almost want to throw some freestyles with this cat or have a break dance contest with him!The background photo is one I took myself when I went to Rio de Janeiro in February 2008. I knew it would fit the feel of this piece. It was shot at a playground close to Corcovado.

[link] here - this is what real old school is. (to be honest, my pers definition of 'oldie' is before the Beatles. So incredibly old shit. 'I got a Woman,' 'Tutti Frutti', Elvis, Holly, Valens, Berry, Stax, etc.)
(if you consider the beastie boys old school, you obviously think they think they're old...and god knows that's not what's going on)
