Description Five minutes after I finished this comic, my wife came home from the library with a copy of Downton Abbey, Season Two under her arm. I kid you not.

Oh, and thanks to all those people who offered their kind words and support after I received that negative review. After one day, that journal entry had almost 150 comments on it. I appreciate it, guys.

What was hard was trying to make his desperate smile get a little more desperate with each panel.

Downton Abbey

I love Colin's fixed expression. It's so very expressive, x3

Thanks! It's hard to express intense fear in a smile. I think I managed.

I think you must be the ONLY female reader who would say that, though he does have his own kind of charm. The charm only turns on when his life is in danger, though.

Hey, you're the only one who noted that! Consistency error! But yeah, I thought that maybe she's been catching up with things over the few months since she got amnesia. Maybe? I dunno. I'm grasping at straws.

I long for the days of classic sitcoms. Which is why Puck generally plays like a classic sitcom.

I kept expecting that Colin had given her a DVD she already had but didn't remember... Poor Colin. Though if I were Puck, I probably would have accepted the flowers and the dvd, *and then* ripped his head off.

ElectricGecko In reply to Austro [2012-03-21 18:33:45 +0000 UTC]

Ah, but Puck knows intrinsically that if she puts him in traction, she might hinder his ability to buy her more bribes in the future. If he's able-bodied, then the next time he does something wrong (like, the next day), she'll have more gifts than before. Thrift, Horatio....

Oh boy , Colin is such a wuss . He really needs to join a credit union so he can put some money away and save up till he can afford to buy a back bone . Nothing wrong with getting presents for his sweety , after all a happy wife means a happy home . I guess he needs to buy some Depends adult diapers first .

BBC period drama (read: soap opera set in the 1910's) that is currently all the rage amongst a certain type of female. Puck is that type of female.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

erosarts In reply to ElectricGecko [2012-03-21 01:44:41 +0000 UTC]

I guess because she lived through that era... hopefully. But that doesn't explain your wife's interest.

I'm kidding.

Who can really know a wife?

Well played sir, well played. Something tells me that Colin has been in that situation before.

What's "Downton Abbey"?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ElectricGecko In reply to The-Mirrorball-Man [2012-03-20 16:00:10 +0000 UTC]

Colin has been in that situation almost constantly since he started dating Puck. He's refined his game to an art form.

Downton Abbey is a British period drama (read soap opera set in the 1910's) that is currently all the rage amongst a certain subset of women. Puck is of that subset.

The-Mirrorball-Man In reply to ElectricGecko [2012-03-21 08:45:08 +0000 UTC]
