Description
A present done for *Gold-SevenA map of the continent of Westeros, the central land in George Martin's books "A Song of Ice and Fire". A map of the whole continent hasn't yet been provided in any of the books, so I thought it was about time to stitch one together from the smaller maps available in the books.
Apologies for the scan quality - the original is 20" x 15" and had to be scanned in 6 pieces

Stunningly beautiful. But you seem to have misspelled Orkmont (on the Iron Islands) as 'Ormont'.

When I read the book, I kept confusing east with west, and the map formed almost exactly mirrored to this awesome piece of art. Good job.

Amazing.
What a wonderful piece of art, far better than the dull and lifeless maps in the books, almost makes you think of the painted table of the Dragonstone.

Yessss - I gave in and put it up when some people wanted to be able to see a decent sized version (I couldn't really put a big version up in LiveJournal!!)
I am totally blaming you for my current desire to illustrate bits from GRRM I'm now half way through a big pic of the Battle of Blackwater Bay and am, in theory, meant to be doing a pic of Ice and other Stark stuff!

I love hand-drawing maps. I've got a 6' square map folded up somewhere, that I did of a fantasy land of mine. Looooooove it.

It did. That, an a summer break from school. I mean, it's just an outline, with only rivers and the shoreline delineated. Oh...and the plates. Like, as in plate tectonics. Hee. I did draw an entire world, after all. It was so fun twisting stuff around and acting like I myself was the passing of 500,000,000 years!

Well, I can't promise that I'd hold up in a scientific conclave, but it was fun acting like I was actually building the planet. Try it!
