I carved a base out of styrofoam (it's this kind from michale's [link] )
Then, I put something called joint compound which is used for drywall, sanded them, painted them, and then hot glued to a headband.
Please don't ever hot glue them to a headband, not only will it look ugly, your horns will fall off your head and break.
I highly recommend using these tutorials on how to attach them to your head without them breaking/falling off.

Huh, pretty solid tutorial! Short and to the point. I was looking for what other people use for the blue, and something to do for the eyes that I actually had a chance of pulling off. Any tips for applying eyeliner on the top waterline?
I have found though, that Snazaroo paint will stick on palms, but it needs the heck sealed out of it, a few layers (I have Ben Nye Final Seal spray) works the best, my gray was able to outlast getting a bit wet too. It would probably work for other brands, but I'm not sure on that.

For the top waterline, you just place the pencil into the corner of your eye, and you kind of blink really fast and drag it along. It might tickle and feel weird but you get used to it. You can try to look up a tutorial on how to do it, because honestly, I SUCK at explaining things!
Oh wow that's really neat! I was thinking about trying Snazaroo sometime :::: ) I only use Kryolan because it's the only thing that can handle my oily skin, it sucks to be me!

Hmm, I was thinking of trying Kryolan because its one of the only ones I've heard of other than Ben Nye. Snazaroo is a bit blue, it's noticeable in natural lighting only though it seems. Okay for Vriska, not so much for other trolls.

Hah it's ok! Once you get used to it, it's almost like second nature! So don't give up ^u^
Kryolan is the best I've used, because I can't use anything else because my my skin is so FREAKING oily, ben nye wouldn't like me too much. But the only con I have about Kryolan is that if you sweat, it'll come off, but I sweated a little bit when i was at my friend's bday party (she turned it into a private con between me and my friends) and my upper lip looked a ittle wet but then it dried and it was fine. You just have to be careful. Also it's so easy to get off, it literally melts off you in the shower, and to get the rest of it off my face, I use go 360 clean acne wash, because I have pretty bad acne. It keeps my face soft and stuff ^u^ And really? Is it blue? Hm.. I never really heard that. Also, there's different shades of grey you can use for kryolan. I've seen someone use 074 shade of grey, I use 089 and it still looks great.
Another pro about Kryolan is that it looks freaking AMAZING in pictures. If you go to my gallery you can see that I used it for my Terezi cosplay and my Vriska one and my gosh, I loved how it looks in pictures.

Ah, something that will wash off with no problem! I kinda have to rub off the Snazaroo, though that could be because I seal the ever-living heck out of it. Ah, didn't know there was different shades, but the one you used looks pretty great~
Eh, like the Snazaroo kind of odd. Its something I didn't really expect either, I think it's got to do with the lighting? In most pictures of my costume ( like this one, man I need to take some not with people [link] ) its clearly gray. In others though, ( sorry derp pose [link] ) it looks blue.

lol, stuff is always hard to wash off. And is Snazaroo oil based or is it water activated? And yes, sealing the crap out of it will usually make it harder to wash it off.

I think it really has to do with the lighting. But oh man, you make a great Vriska, and your makeup looks so good! And the Kryolan I use, it's actually a little darker than the pictures show it to be. And it doesn't really look TOO bluish to me, I think it looks GREAT!

Oh, definitely water activated! Can't believe I forgot to mention that. Dab in some water and its ready to go.
Okay so I'm not the only one who see the blue, cool. I don't mind Kryolan being a little darker, I thought mine was a bit light haha. Thank you for the kind words! And with your advice for the eyes, I can fix what didn't work with the makeup. C:

Kryolan works the same way.
Youc an get kryolan in a variety of shades, actually. You can even go lighter, to a shade of 074. I use 089.

Oh yeah, I pretty much ship anything reasonable. Like, come on people. GamxTerezi? FeferixDave? I ship Karkat with (all these are red) John, Terezi, Nepeta, Sollux, sometimes Jade... (wow). DavexJade, EriSol, VriskaxTav(rarely)... I like JohnxKat a lot, and in some rare occasions JohnxDave. Yeah... I feel like if people notice that, like, half my ships are m/m or g/g, they'll freak. I kjjust like a good fluff.

I use mehron barrier spray because I don't have access to final seal, but I'm going to check if the theater store has it, i never really looked. but it's actually really good. I like it and it smells weird but good at the same time, lol.
