If you automatically know the series on seeing the picture I salute you sir/madam. If not then fear not! This is taken from a screen-shot I took myself from "Archie's Weird Mysteries" episode one "Attack of the killer spuds". That was one thing I just HAD to watch for shits and giggles. So when this cute little plot-bunny for a comic featuring Archie and Dilton popped into my head I just had to pet the little dear.

If you don't remember the context of this I'll explain. There are potatoes taking over Riverdale (I shit you not, POTATOES) and Archie's trying to help save people from the potatoes. After going to Pop Tate's he hops into his car and drives off saying "The police, I've got to try the police!" at which point genius boy Dilton pops up from the back seat and nearly gives poor Archie a heart attack. Arch proceeds to crash the car into something and the next thing he sees is that *points at panel*.

Now in my head I can't help but seeing a funnier outcome to this than them driving off to save Riverdale. I hope you can figure out what the outcome is in my mind.

EDIT: Before I forget, a rant...
GAH, this panel was friggin’ murder! If I ever decide to try a charcoal-effect with burnt-out matches someone hit me. Preferably hard enough so I don’t remember the idea. At first I drew lightly with pencil, then went over with the matches. But it just didn’t look right so I darkened the pencil lines and used the matches to make the haze-type-stuff around Dilton. I made it more hazy by going over it with a Q-tip, then I rubbed the whole panel with a cotton-ball. Then I erased the stuff in the speech-bubble and went over the drawn stuff with a felt-marker-pen-thing and colored his hair with a sharpie. Haze doesn’t really show up well at all…Damn. Oh, and that thing to his right/our left…That’s totally part of Betsy’s windshield, if you’re familiar with the characters and don’t know about Betsy you need to be smacked.

Also, to anyone who works with Archie Comics, I didn't WILL be continuing this comic however and plese take note that this is ONLY showing what popped into my head, not in ANYway how I believe characters should be portrayed. I know that this is pretty OK so far but the punchline of the comic is probably not something you like to see the golden-boy of Riverdale doing.
