Description
An isolated billabong in the middle of the Flinders Ranges National Park, South Australia. The main tree in the photo is the Ghost Gum, aptly named for its stark white bark. In the water you can see the faces of dozens of lost souls...Photoshop:

Billabong:
1. A streambed filled with water only in the rainy season.
2 . A stagnant pool or backwater.
They're pretty common in outback Australia

Thank you very much! The IR filter was just experimentation, I didn't really plan for it to come out this way

Wow. That's a really nice shot. I love the sky, and the colors. The whole image gives off a great sort of "glow" which is really nice.

Beautiful! You always know how to capture great wildlife/nature scenes... I actually think ghost gums are quite cool, being a bright white and all... Very nice, it looks effective in black and white too!

I like the tree and the shot and all of that but something about the glowing silver lining on everything is a bit much. Was it in the original shot or did you add that with an effect.

the silver lining is just some side effects from adding the IR filter in ps... i know, it detracts from the photo thank you for commenting

hehe you cant get an IR filter for photoshop, but you can mimick its effects in ps thank you

there is a really good tutorial on how to do this at *photo-class , it will tell you how to do it
