How did you do this? Like the nebula, I've been trying to create my own but they don't come out natural looking and I was hoping you could give me some tips.

The colours attracted me to this immediately. At first i thought it may be a simple photomanipulation, but when i saw that it was infact a work of painting and airbrushing i was even more impressed. The detail is lovely, a realy fantastic scene.

Peter...simple brushes would do, just fine...
i have a lot of them, but i laways use the same, hehe....i have deleted half a dozen allready...
just play with opacitys, brush properties,
jitter, scattered...etc,...experiment,

I appreciate the info - funny how often the best complex images can be created with simple set up tools - more fun too because by having brushes with preset space images and space elements it kind of feels that the image built up has been made by others and you are only placing the pieces together - drawing from scratch is so much more satisfying.
i am definitely going to aim to introduce drawing sessions between my other creative stuff - i've even started getting back into flash animation again after a couple of years away - great fun but gosh it is tedious doing all those frames - 24 drawings for one second of animation - though you can get around that doing 12 drawings and doubling the frames then running at 24 frame speed - looks just as good
if i manage to do some drawings before we are both so old we can know longer hold a graphic tablet stylus due to arthritis, i will show you soon as i can
