Description Elspeth Tirel from Magic The Gathering! I suppose Fan Art best fits this.

A reproduction of her Elspeth, Knight-Errant image from Shards of Alara, done 18"x24" in pastels.

Wish I had a better picture of this, I had to send it off today right after 'finishing'. Still would've spent many more hours on it, but it was made as a wedding gift and I had to wrap it up and pass it on.. I started with the top half, and ended with the legs, so you can see where I was pressed for time! DX

This is before it went into a frame, but maybe my boyfriend will stop to take a nice picture of it in the frame though after it's been given to it's new owners. =3

Hope they love it!

Thank you very much! ^^ I've had a Jace the Mind Sculptor sitting out to finish for my boyfriend, ever since I finished Elspeth. Seeing someone post on her reminds me that I really should go and finish that project...

Exceptionally nicely done.
You should have actually had this up in a gallery.

Thankies! It helps that the majority of detail was done with pastel pencils, I'm not sure I could've ever finished this with satisfaction using only my larger pastels. x.x Though Prismacolors Nupastels are really amazing! If you're a fan of pastel, you should give them a try!

I'm no pastel artist, but my fiance is -- I'll be sure to pass on the tip

Very well done. It's nice to see people still using traditional media for things like this. instant Fav.

Thank you very much! ^^

Personally I love traditional media more than digital, but that may be mostly due to the fact I'm more familiar working with it.

Haha, yeah, I've done both, but I still stick to digital. Less materials to buy.

And you're welcome!
