Wow. Those look AMAZING...is it safe to assume they cost less than feather wings?
Been looking into that method and feathers for a pair of wings about this size would be around 200 dollars. Not including the rest of the materials. @_@

My main inquiry isn't so much the wing itself (although this tutorial may home in hand at a later date) but the harness in which you have rigged the wing to. It's just perfect for so many things I need to make haha!

Hmm, this should be helpful But question: can you use posterboard for the feathers instead of stiff fabric? I'm going for a (much more) solid structure with my wings but I still want the feather layers to be prominent.

M-m, I haven't work with this material, but if I understand correctly what you mean - It might work, but wings can come out heavy and stiff. If this is what you are aiming for, than posterboard will do

By the way, You can buy real feathers on Ebay. Our friends do that for their wings. Their wings looks much better. But for our purposes real feathers was impossible to use.
