Description
This funnelweb spider is cast bronze with fractals and blown glass viewed through kaleidoscopes.
She took five years to complete. it stands on a stainless steel table with mirrored top.

They are just so fascinating and although this is a funnel web that don't spin a hanging web it was the brutal efficiency that inspired this they make a web and wait then inject a venom that dissolves the insides of its prey which it sucks out.

A huge thanks must also go to glass blower Jim Randall and fractal artist Susan Jones for allowing me to incorporate their incredible artistry into my work!
