it is a part of university project that I'm working on. Development of animation movie, based on Philip Reeve's "Mortal Engines" novel.
but actually there won't be a real movie, 'cause our study program is stupid ((=

What I love about your work is that
A) I could never do this in a million years
B) everything is as I imagine it, although in my mind, the Jenny Haniver looks less like a basic dirigible
C) you've captured the spirit of the book perfectly, in my opinion. anyone who disagrees that these are fabulous has a problem.
the great part is, you wouldn't even need voice actors, for the film. judging by your rendition of the opening scene, you have the beat of a silent down pat. keep up the good work, and I don't think anyone would mind throwing a little money at you to make a film out of these fabulous books. I know I wouldn't.

It's very nice to look at, but in making Hester beautiful, you've missed the point of her character IMO. I applaud your work, but I can't help but feel I'm looking at art from a Pennyroyal best seller instead of Mortal Engines.

I would like to say that I've personally met Phillip Reeve, he invited us for tea and biscuits as he's a friend of a friend. I mentioned your work and showed him on my phone, and he said it was wonderful

I thought you deserved to know! I half fainted when my mum said he'd invited us to visit him! He sign my copy of Fever Crumb and gave me a copy of Mortal engines which he also signed, and by each signature he gave me an illustration.
I thought another fellow fan should be made aware to him and he loved it.

Very, very well done. I agree that Hester is not as rough around the edges as the book describes, but you're one of the few artists i've seen that gave her a proper scar.
You have done my favorite book of all time justice and if someone ever does make a film of it I hope to god you're in charge.

If I had one quibble (and i's a quibbly quibble) Hester is too pretty, But I guess the style you went for made it hard to show her gruesome scar.

may i just say that these are truly an excellent representation of the books- i may not agree with all the details, but even then there still beutifal images... i especially like the detail on the cities and towns... really helps visaulise it

Great job, especially on the backgrounds (Batmunkh Gompa looks amazing!). On the characters, however, I think some stuff could be improved.

One of my favorite series of books of all time as a child and an adultling. Loving your work, pity there won't be a animation, I think that would be the better format if it was to be filmed rather than live action.

in the beginning, Valentine was seemingly nice, then one of my least favorite when i found out what he done, then in the end, he wasn't exactly good, but not bad either because everything he did was for (in a sort of twisted way) for Katherine

Oooh, you've done it such a great justice! You really have a vision for colour and camera angles and woaheverything. Your style is distinctive and professional and with only a short set of comics you've encompassed so much--so much plot, so many emotions and actions scenes and complex histories... Aaaah I think you're one of my new idols. If I could one day make a comic series as lovely and emotive I would go to my grave with a happy heart.
