Well, sorry for everyone looking at this for the description, as it appears to have been wiped, but this is the second version of that space gun I got from Duality-of-One. It's designed for use in atmosphere as well as space, but many of its design features rely on space for them to work. It has three main ones. See those 3 copper dots? They interface with the gun's accellerometer and gyros and feed data to the user's spacesuit so that when the user fires, his thrusters can accurately compensate for the recoil of the shot fired. It also interfaces with the user's HUD to display a shot trajectory estimate and automatically locks the trigger if it identifies an friendly in the line of fire.

It's based on the StG-82F (fav.me/d9ddi8c ) concepted by the awesome It's an assault rifle for space, so it uses 5mm Caseless Sabot ammo. One day I might add the actual ammunition to the drawing. Though the original uses a push-button and dual-stage safety, mine has a fire control switch.

Done in Cinema 4D mainly using parts from the old gun and a few new ones. Rendered in Keyshot with PBR because I like the look better than UV based modelling.
