Oh, whose hair is awesome? The Hwarang knights all made me think of Korean elves, tbh
I'm happy you like the icons, my epic friend

Yes, same here!! And we can do that whenever you're ready; it helps if I have distractions, it just might take me a little longer to make something
I like it; I'm on the final episode, though sometimes I feel the pacing is too slow in resolving matters. But if I'm honest, my favorite characters are Changmin's crown prince, and Gwi. I know he's the bad guy but Lee Soo Hyuk is just so beautiful, and along with his voice, he's just like the perfect vampire.

okay, I will start thinking about what to do, though to be perfectly honest, it'll probably be something with V just cause he's so cute!! but I totally understand about distraction! but you can take as long as you need!!
yeah, I know what you mean - it felt like certain things they dragged out way too long when it could have been resolved quicker! oh my gosh - Changmin is so perfect in that!! I had serious second lead syndrome with him and so did my mom lol!! I was totally shocked by Lee Soo Hyuk's voice, I had to google it to see if that was how he really sounded!!

Elflover21 In reply to Super-Fan-Wallpapers [2017-12-30 06:31:20 +0000 UTC]
All right, that will be fine I was thinking of making a base with Ban Ryu
And thanks for understanding
Yes, some of it could have been resolved more quickly, I agree! Yes, I was mildly fangirling over Changmin, and he's so handsome in it too, though it took me a while to get used to the beard lol. And is that how Lee Soo Hyuk really sounds? I assumed it was, and I think I've heard small clips of him. But I couldn't get emotionally attached to the main characters, mostly because I think I'm too drained right now, but I did tear up when Changmin lost his queen, and then when it was revealed Gwi loved her too (as much as he was capable of it). And the end confused me a little...overall, though, I enjoyed it.

oh yay - Ban Ryu is awesome!!! and you're welcome!
haha, he is!! the beard was easy for me since I hadn't seen him before that lol!! yeah, I thought maybe they did that just for the drama but nope, it's really that deep! youtu.be/AJV8bjSpq9o
oh yeah, I can totally understand that!! I imagine that you must be really drained right now!! yeah, I thought both those parts were super sad too!! yeah, that ending was really strange - did she die or did he come back?? what happened there?? but I agree and I have seen worse!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Elflover21 In reply to Super-Fan-Wallpapers [2017-12-30 17:40:39 +0000 UTC]
That he is
Yeah, I remember when we talked before, you mentioned not being used to Changmin clean-shaven, and I was like, wait, he has a beard?? Lol, now I almost prefer Changmin with a beard
I actually looked on YouTube to check myself, and saw a couple of clips I had seen before, from High School King of Savvy. I haven't watched that drama, but I might now Thanks for the clip you sent, having Sung Joon show up was a pleasant surprise. But I saw someone comment on how having all those tall, good-looking men with deep voices in the same room might be a little intimidating in real life, lol. It was the models turned actors club
Yeah, I think so, because, sounding cold, I didn't even twinge when the main girl lost her father... Maybe it just took until near the end for me to invest emotion...But I had the same questions, did she die or did he come back? Maybe the manga would answer it better, though from the comments I read, they didn't stick to the manga very well. And haha, it will always come back to whether it was as bad as Strong Woman or not, and I haven't found another that bad yet.

Super-Fan-Wallpapers In reply to Elflover21 [2018-01-01 06:41:10 +0000 UTC]
well, he is very handsome with his beard!! some men can't pull that look off but he does it so well!!
hmm. I don't know if I've heard of that drama - sounds familiar but I'm not quite sure.... haha, you're welcome!! Sung Joon is always a good thing in my book lol oh yeah - it might be!! but then again, I'd probably be begging them to read to me lol!! yeah - AKA my favorite club
I felt a bit sad at that but he was a little annoying to be honest - though his wife took the cake for being the most evil person in the show!! maybe, you never know!! the most emotional I got at that show was every time his man servant cried - that dude seriusly messed me up!! yeah, I wondered the same thing about the manga too!! oh my gosh - I thought the same exact thing the other night, I just feel bad about blaming Strong Woman so much!!

He is, though I wonder if one put it on him with modern clothes and haircut if it would still look as nice But he does indeed!
I think it's a fairly popular drama, but that's what I knew Lee Soo Hyuk's name from. And yes, he is Speaking of, the drama I started has Sung Joon in it, though a secondary part. But yeah, I think more likely, I'd just be sitting there listening to them talk lol
It's a good club
To be honest, I agree with you, he was a bit annoying. But for me, the most evil was the Prime Minister who gave his daughter to Gwi in exchange for power, then scraped for his own life after her death by blaming it on her, which even made Gwi incredulous. The bookseller's wife...it wasn't her own child so it's a bit more understandable...but the Prime Minister...ugh, I can understand why Gwi didn't want to take any of his blood into himself...
Haha, his manservant was sweet, and yes, he made me feel more sorry about the situation than the main character did to be honest.
Well, Strong Woman was just bad. The only good thing about it was Hyungsik, but the story was just bad, no other words to describe it.

hmm, somebody should ask him to do that - it'd definitely be interesting to see!!
I knew his name from him being friends with Kim Woo Bin ooooh, what drama is that?? I need to watch some more of him!! haha, that is true too!! and yes, it is!!
oh my gosh - I totally forgot about him!! but yes - he definitely took the cake for most evil in that drama!! I'm not sure I've seen a KDrama dad as bad as he was!!
yeah, poor Lee Joon Gi was more funny to watch than to be sympathetic to!!
yeah, it really was just bad!! but yes - Hyungsik was the highlight of that show! which is probably true of any show he's in, now that I think of it! yeah, I think they just threw around ideas every time they wrote the script and fit as much as they could in there without even thinking about explaining what was happening!

Maybe, but facial hair is generally considered less attractive in Korea, especially for idols, which is why they're always clean-shaven.
Well, sounds like most of them are friends, then It's Gu Family Book; he doesn't show up until halfway through the third episode, since the first two are set-up, and Lee Seung-gi is the lead
Yeah, I think he was even more evil than Gwi, go figure. And no, I haven't either, though I've seen a few bad dads in dramas xD
True.
It really was, but idk, I genuinely like Hwarang and High Society, though of course I'm glad he's in them. And yeah, I think that as well, and the comedy was so juvenile, it didn't even go along with the horror of the kidnapping story line!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Super-Fan-Wallpapers In reply to Elflover21 [2018-01-02 06:04:15 +0000 UTC]
I did notice that it's rare to see facial hair but I just thought maybe they have a harder time growing it like the Native Americans do.
yeah, it's kinda cool!! ahh - I'm so jealous!! I want to watch that one so bad but my mom banned me from watching any historical dramas without her! I don't think I've seen Lee Seung-gi in anything but I do know who he is!
haha, he was!! yeah, there have been some flat-out creeps but no one who sold their kid like that!
me too! I actually liked Hwarang more than I initially thought I was going to and High Society was just fun! haha, no! it was like mental whiplash going between the comedy and horror - their transition was not smooth!

Elflover21 In reply to Super-Fan-Wallpapers [2018-01-02 17:15:24 +0000 UTC]
Suju was asked once if it was in their contracts to stay clean-shaven, and they said it wasn't it their contracts, but fans generally thought facial hair looked dirty/unattractive, so they always shaved. And while it is difficult for them to grow it (like I'm pretty sure Changmin's was fake), it is just seen as less attractive for the most part, except in historical context.
It is It's been pretty good, once you get past some of the slightly sensitive material in the first and second episodes. I haven't seen Lee Seung-gi in anything before, I just knew who he was, but I'm enjoying his role, and his scenes with Sung Joon are very entertaining!
That is very true, too!! I wanted him to die more than anyone else in that drama!
I have probably watched Hwarang the most after Hyde, Jekyll, Me, because I do really like it (although I can't help rolling my eyes a little bit when Aro's crying...again lol), it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of it. High Society is fun too!! And no, the two things just didn't go together at all, and I felt the kidnapping story line didn't even go with the drama at all. You don't put stuff like that in a romcom, or at least, I didn't think it should be in one.

Super-Fan-Wallpapers In reply to Elflover21 [2018-01-04 19:59:45 +0000 UTC]
the only one I've seen with facial hair is Siwon. at least Changmin's fake hair looked better than the 3rd prince in Scarlet Heart, that was so bad looking!!
what do you mean by sensitive? I came across it because of Choi Jin-hyuk so that's why it's on my watchlist sounds like its good - I'll have to bug my mom into watching it!!
haha, I totally agree with you there!!!
I need to watch it again but there's a few parts I'm not looking forward to (yes, Aro's crying in a big percentage of that!!!)
haha, no it did not!! I think W did a much better job of balancing intense with romance!!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Elflover21 In reply to Super-Fan-Wallpapers [2018-01-04 21:50:49 +0000 UTC]
Same here. And yes, that's very true!
Um, suicide and implied rape or at least, near rape...the villain in this drama has got to be the worst I have ever seen in a kdrama, every time he comes on screen, I just want him to die!! And yes, Choi Jin-hyuk plays Lee Seung-gi's father in this drama It has been very good, I'm enjoying it, and it's 24 episodes, so it's a little longer. My mom thinks she may want to watch it also, but I will warn her too.
The hardest part about Hwarang is Hansung But tbh, I didn't even notice how much Aro cried the first two times I watched it, but after it was pointed out, it was like, wow, how did I not notice? Lol.
Yes, and it fit in it's genre better, I think. If they hadn't played up Strong Woman as a romcom, it would have been easier to understand the intense parts, and likewise, had they said it leaned towards a thriller, then the romcom parts would have been easier to see as comic relief sequences. But I agree, the balance was terrible. I just plain didn't like it

oh yeah, those are some sensitive subjects!! he sounds creepy!! I'm sure I'll be thinking the same thing when I watch it!!
a little longer doesn't really bother me as long as it's interesting!! let me know if she does, I'd like to know if she liked it!
uhh, yes it is!! haha, I think I was just kinda shocked by her but you got lucky not noticing it!!
yes it does!!! yeah, I think that it would have been better too.

Yeah, they really are, and I doubted if I wanted to go past the second episode, but I knew Lee Seung-gi came in at the third ep, so I decided to keep going, and I'm glad I did because I really liked it!! The villain was such a terrible creep, I was glad he finally got his comeuppance at the end!! It was good, I finished it last night Well, we're going to rewatch Hwarang first, but generally she and I like the same dramas, so I think she will. I just know she won't watch Scholar Who Walks the Night because she hates vampires, lol, so although I talked to her about it, she wouldn't like the blood involved.
Well, to be honest, Aro does have a lot to cry about, but I don't think it was necessary for the program to show it in practically every episode
I just wish Strong Woman had lived up to my expectations...

yay!! I'm glad you did too because I got to hear about it from you and once I watch it I can bug you with all sort of questions!!
good, it's always better when the villain gets what he deserves!! are you watching something else or taking a break?
yeah, it's always easy when you like the same things! and have fun rewatching Hwarang even though you'll need lots of tissue for Hansung!! my mom's the opposite with vampires - she likes all the monster stuff like that lol but I totally get the not liking blood!!
haha, poor Aro!! but I agree, she did need to cry but sometimes it was too much to see it in every episode!!
I totally agree, it has been the lowest thing I've watched!

I'm glad I did too, because I thoroughly enjoyed it!! And you won't bug me
Yes, it is!! And I started watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho; I had watched the first episode, then left it and never came back to it, but now that I'm more familiar with Lee Seung-gi, I started over, and it's very enjoyable!!
It is Yes, I always cry over Hansung, even though I know it's coming. Haha, that's really interesting!! My mom watched some of the old black and white vampire movies when she was a kid, and they've left her scarred, lol. She was on the fence when I started a book about a vampire, but it won her over
Though to be honest, I don't like the blood much, either
Yes, I think that's just it; she needed to cry, but they just featured it too much. I mean, even implying she had been crying when by herself or something would have been a better way, I think, than just always showing her crying. It made it seem like she didn't do much else!
Same!! By the way, have you seen the short film with Hyungsik and Han Jimin? It's cute, and only half an hour long, but I enjoyed it, they're both so sweet

oh, that one is on my watch list too!! I didn't realize it was Lee Seung-gi in it, I only knew Shin Min-a was the girl in it
me too - i had read a spoiler on the internet by accident and I still wanted to cry! ah, I can totally see some of those scarring you so I get that!! what vampire book did you read? just curious because I've only read Twilight yeah, too much blood and guts is just plain gross!!
yeah, it was almost like every time they showed her character she was crying. and yes, implying that she had been crying would have been much, much better!!
no, I haven't seen that!! I will Google it for sure!!

This one is good, too, though some parts are very peculiar, lol. The script writers have a quirky sense of humor. I didn't know Lee Seung-gi was in it either until I had finished Gu Family Book, and was listening to the soundtrack and saw the soundtrack for My Girlfriend is a Gumiho beside it, and it was like, ah same lead actor!
Since it was still airing when I watched it, I only had people's conjectures and the cast having confirmed that one of the Hwarang didn't make it to the end. I knew Baekhyun's character died in Scarlet Heart though I hadn't seen it, so I just figured one of the idol actors' characters would die, and I gathered that Minho--with his leading man status--wouldn't be the one they cut out. When Hansung died, it was just confirmation.
Yes, so she hates them, lol Oh, I meant that I started writing a vampire book, which won my mom over
As for what vampire books I have read myself, I own all the Twilight books and I also own Dracula. Besides those, I've read The Historian, some short stories, and Interview with a Vampire. But I agree with you, too much is just disgusting.
Yes, it really was like that.
I could send you the link if you like, it's on Youtube, and really sweet. They play two blind characters who fall for each other

oh, quirky sense of humor sounds right up my alley!! ah, that is a totally awesome way to find out about it!!
ugh, I don't think I could have handled waiting for each episode to air!!! it would have drove me crazy! what is it with all the adorable characters biting the dust?? seriously, I can't handle that part of the dramas!! but I can totally see your point about Minho - I think he would have been a mistake to kill off...just like killing Hansung was a mistake...
haha, that is so adorable!! oh, that makes sense!! I bet your vampire book is totally awesome!! oh yeah, Dracula is a must! and short stories are always cool but I've never read The Historian or Interview with a Vampire but I have seen the movie! yeah, I used to watch the Walking Dead and let me tell you, they crossed the line one too many times!!!
oh yes please!! it sounds like I might cry but I'll still chance it!!

I've really liked it, and the second male lead is so pretty Lee Seung-gi is handsome, though, too, of course
I have to say, I've really enjoyed his acting in both dramas.
Haha, it was hard to wait; two episodes, then a week of waiting for another two episodes. Since I was in Korea at the time, I would just turn on the reruns on television on the days in between. That's why I've seen it so many times And that's because dramaland likes to make viewers cry, so they pick the best to kill or hurt. I agree, it would have been a mistake to kill him off, and although it hurts, I can understand why they did with Hansung...
Thanks, it's one of the few books where I knew exactly how everything goes before I began writing it. Dracula is a definite must The Historian is a very big, long book, and I enjoyed it, and I've never seen the movie of Interview with a Vampire, but I still pictured Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as I read the book, lol. So did you quit watching the Walking Dead? I knew of a lot of people who did because it got to be too much...
All right, here is the link: youtu.be/3y5zBY96Mio I don't think it will make you cry, I just found it sweet Subs are the CC

uh-oh, I don't know if I can handle another pretty second male lead - I've seen too many of them!! hopefully I'll get to start Gu Family soon with my mom!
yeah, I'm very impatient with it!! oh wow - that is so cool!! did I say how jealous I was of you??? yes, I think I've finally figured that out about dramas lol - I'm constantly crying!! yes, big, big mistake!!!
oh, that sounds really interesting too!! oh yes- Dracula is!! hmmm, I'll have to look into that one! it was an okay movie but better than Queen of the Damned lol!! yeah, we did. it got too much into the people vs people instead of zombies and just lost it's appeal. though, my favorite character was a Korean-American
oh thank you!! I can't wait to watch it!

Welp, sorry, but he is really pretty, so another to add to your list! My mom and I decided to watch My Girlfriend is a Gumiho first, and even my mom kept remarking on how handsome/pretty he was
And yay, hope you get to watch it soon! I've started watching A Korean Odyssey, with Lee Seung-gi, and it's been really interesting, so long as you can get past evil spirits/possessed dolls/and a zombie that somehow became a cute, sweet character...But since it's a current drama, I have to wait for new episodes now...so bring on the impatience!! Well, thank you, I hope that you will get the chance, too! But watching dramas on Korean television meant no subs, so I had to remember the subs in my head, lol
Yes, crying happens so much, doesn't it?! And I agree!
Thanks so much! I'm on hiatus working on it right now, though, 'cause it's much more serious in nature, and deals with some sad situations, and I haven't been in the right frame of mind for it since December...so I'm working on Joong-ki instead, because that's more fun The Historian was good, though I thought it dragged some in the middle, I enjoyed it overall
But it's easier for me to read about vampires than watch them on a screen... Oh, I see, that would definitely change the appeal. And I knew there was a Korean-American in the show
I hope you enjoy it; short and sweet

we're almost finished with the drama we're watching so I'm gonna try to get her to watch that next OH MY GOSH - I actually watched part of the first episode of that last weekend and I could not get past the creepy dolls!!! I know that seems like an oxymoron after watching the Walking Dead but I just couldn't get past the dolls! but I know what you mean about Lee Seung-gi, I was already starting to like him but I'm such a chicken lol!! yeah, totally get you with the impatience!!
oh my gosh, I didn't even think about that!! and yes, crying totally does!!
oh yeah, I could see needing a break from that! and I totally get working on something that's more fun! ah, sometimes book can do that - I think especially if the author decides to add in a lot of useless information or stuff like that. yeah, I understand that too! yeah, it really did but I'm glad that we stopped watching because I don't think it was really mentally healthy in the first place. haha, I actually not surprised that you knew that!

Ooh, yay, that's awesome!! Lol, you didn't like the creepy dolls, eh? Fortunately, they were only in the first episode, and I watched it at night after midnight. Lee Seung-gi's character is great, but I've enjoyed him in all three of the dramas I've seen him in now. But yes, I have to wait a week between each set of episodes now...

Tbh, I haven't been able to write much of anything since December, and Photoshop has gotten difficult too *sigh*. Yes, I've read books that had too much 'excess' information also.

Haha, it's not on purpose But Minho...L...Changmin...Siwon...there's a pattern
Well, they're only in the first episode, and the first minute and a half of the second as they recap Oh Gong destroying the doll, so if you wanted to start with the second episode, you could do that. They haven't made a reappearance And Lee Hong-ki is cute and funny in this drama!! It's really hard to wait sometimes, but I just watch other things in the meantime. Haha, that had Kai in it, right? I tried starting on the Japanese drama he's in, but the style wasn't clicking with me.
Oh, what drama is that?
Really? Well, a lot of pieces I either started weeks ago, or I can only work on them a little at a time. I have multiple projects setting on my computer waiting to be finished. And ooh, that book sounds really awesome! Who was it by? Maybe I can find it...
Good! And it was really only thanks to pinterest that I knew...

haha, I see what you mean now!! and L...I totally get that!
I might try it again in the future but I'm feeling like a big chicken right now I absolutely adore Lee Hong-Ki so that is making me very unhappy!! and that is true!! yes, he was in it!! I heard about that one but I haven't tried it lol - chickening out again.....
Ruler: Master of the Mask. L is in it and he did a really good job but they focused way too much on the love triangle and the girl isn't that impressive!!
ah, now I see what you're saying! and I feel like that way sometimes, I just found some old projects I had started and hadn't finished. it's by Christina Farley www.amazon.com/Gilded-Christin… let me know what you think if you read it!
gotta love pinterest!!

Haha, like I say, it's not on purpose But L, yes, he's such a handsome sweetie
That's okay, one has to deal with a lot of evil spirits in this drama...And it's hard when a drama has someone you like in it, but you don't want to/can't watch it. Kai's Japanese drama just didn't suit me very well because Kai still can't speak much Japanese, so there were long periods of silence, or the female lead doing voice over to describe what he's saying. It just felt kind of awkward to me.
Oh, I had planned to watch that one at some point too, but I get what you mean. I'm kind of tired of love triangles to be honest...
Yeah, it used to be I could sit and work on a piece from start to finish, but lately it's just little dibdabs at a time...
And that book seems really interesting, thanks for the link!! And I will!!
Yes, I do love Pinterest

no, I don't think it is!! sand yes, he totally is!
yeah, I am such a baby any more lol! oh no - that does sound totally awkward!! why would they do that???
yeah, give me a straight love story any day not going back and forth! I'm tired of them too!!
that's okay, maybe working on them bit by bit gives you more time to come up with really great ideas!
you're welcome!!
it's so amazing!! so much stuff!!

Most of them are singers, though, too even if he's considered a 'rapper', Minho is a singer in my book too because that man can sing
Well, they wanted Kai, and he just couldn't speak enough to carry all of it so they worked their way around it, I suppose.
Same here, and I really don't think love triangles happen that much in real life...
Haha, maybe, and thanks, glad you think so
It really is!!

haha, that is always helpful! and of course he is - I remember Winter Wonderland too!!
ugh, that is so horrible!!! I've heard of them dubbing Korean actors/actresses before so I wonder why they didn't do that?
me either!! totally unrealistic!
that's my opinion!!

That is true And yes, his voice in Winter Wonderland, and Prism too
I suppose it depends on their budget, and maybe they wanted to hear Kai's voice the rest of the time...who knows? But it seemed like they took the opportunity to include a lot of beauty shots
It really is!!
Thanks so much!!

oh my gosh - yes!!! so true!
hmmm, maybe.... still seems odd to me! ohhh, I love beauty shots! maybe someone will just do a condensed version on youtube with just those parts
btw, have you watched any Chinese dramas before?

Double yes!!
Yeah, it is still odd, I didn't even make it through the first episode. And well, there were lots, so maybe somebody put together a cut of Kai's parts, because so far, that's what it'd be.
I started on one, when I was looking for a historical drama after watching "Scholar Who Walks the Night", but then I started on Gu Family Book and never went back to the Chinese drama. So no, though I have a couple on my watch list

I understand though - it just sounds all weird to me. hmm,I guess I'll look for those then
which one did you start?? sorry for being nosy but I'm a curious little kitten
the reason I asked was because I started one (Ice Fantasy) and it was hard to get into and then last week I started Fighter of the Destiny and it's actually pretty good!! I'm having to supplement my historical fixation somewhere else since Mom has put the ban on the Korean ones

It just sort of ruined the flow for me...and good luck finding those!!
Um, gosh, I have to look for the title...ah, Lost Love In Times I found it interesting, so I want to go back to it, but Gu Family Book, and then My Girlfriend is a Gumiho distracted me...plus Chinese dramas are so much longer D: But I'm glad you are enjoying the second drama more!! And I get that, it was the same reason I went looking for historical dramas. I wish Kdramas included more of the Silla period instead of so much in the Joseon era...

yeah, I don't blame you!
oh I wanted to watch that one too but I was afraid of love triangles lol yes, they re soooo much longer!! me too! sometimes I think I can't do it because it's so long but then I go back and it catches my interest right away. yes - I would love to see more of that too!

It hasn't been able to keep my interest...I keep waiting for more to happen, but it just feels slow...
They really are, they're a much more ambitious drama to take on, but it's good you're enjoying this one!! Yeah, I feel like because Joseon was such a long dynasty, everything takes place in it, but they could always make up a story in the Silla period
