I was watching with my mom and two counsins; one of them cried a lot during that scene, and the other was trying to not cry, and mom was quiet. I still don't know why I can't cry in moments like that one, but about two days later, I cried while sleeping. Guess the sadness got to me very late... (next time, I'll bring onions with me)
I knew someone was going to die, but... that was unexpected! If HTTYD 2 ended like that, just imagine about HTTYD 3! Until then, dA will be full with HTTYD 2 fanarts, most of them showing you-know-which-scene-I'm-talking-about, exactly like they're doing with "Frozen".

Also, my friends and I have been wondering. "HOW THE HECK CAN YOU TOP THAT AMAZING MOVIE WITH A THIRD ONE?"
What I've come up with is that they're not going to attack the audience with epicness and battle like they have, but extreme emotions. In addition, I have reason to believe that the dragons of HTTYD 3 may leave and not return - ALL WILL LEAVE. So, get ready, the end is near.

Friend #2: "Yeah that's a hard trick to pull off. It's not like they love each other like brothers or anything."

Me: "Well they can't keep Toothless a bachelor forever."

Me: "I'm saying that DreamWorks might Pull the "FEMALE NIGHTFURY" trump card. And draw Toothless away from Hiccup away that way."

Hahaha, such a nice way to break the sadness here! But hey, that was cold, indeed. If HTTYD 3 will end that way, what would the whole fandom think? Besides, there should be epicness and emotion all around, both equal (with a bit of romance, sure why not?), and put more characters away would break everyone's hearts for, how should I say, a long time, in my opiniom. (I myself can't kill/get rid of my own characters, even if they count as over 20 protagonists and antagonists and over 25 secondary characters, each of them from three series I'm planning to make, each of them connected to each other, and they are tremendously (does this word exist?) long! Did I forget something?!)

Phew, said enough.
As I said: until that happens, dA will be full of fanarts of HTTYD 2, with either epic scenes or bittersweet and heartbreaking pics, like they did with "Frozen". (long comment is long, shame on me)

Well it was just an idea of what could happen. That, of course isn't what I want to happen. I too am doing a HTTYD fanfic story, but my mind still runs off like a wild goose with it's head chopped of in a thunderstorm!

I know, I respect your opiniom.
Same here, only that I'm busy with three series at the same time (called "Heroes of Paradise", "Souls of Destiny" and "HEART") and two fanfics (called "JOURNEY Chronicles - Journey Fanfic" and "Linked Destinies - Mad Father, Misao, The Witch's House and Ib fanfic", all of them are game fanfics) and my mind isn't really helping me that much, because:
1- All of my series are from a same universe, only in different periods of time, and my characters are over 30 in total! Make profiles and new uploads is reeeally hard. But is worth it, after all.
2- It's my first time to make a fanfic, especifically of a game. In my case, two fanfics, being one of them about four games at the same time (or something). And my practice with Manga style isn't that perfect.
3- My imagination has the perfect story for all of them, but my hands and eyes are afraid of giving it form (hands- because they're not used to make sad and violent pictures; eyes- because they're used to see sad and less violent pictures, but not to see ME making them)
4- I'm brazilian, and speak/write in a perfect english is very difficult, you see.
But these problems aside, I try my best.
In short, my mind is like yours, only that it's a thunderstorm combined with a blizzard and fireballs everywhere.

I certainly can sympathize with your feelings of interpituatude ( feeling when you have too many things do do at once, when you have not the time to do it. Sorry I'm a word nerd ). I too work on many a story, in addition to real life. Please don't take this as being prideful or as if I'm trying to challenge you with stuff I do. I know people who do that and it annoys me to wits end! I really don't like it when people are cocky - I hate it. I'm just saying this because I know how you feel and I sympathize with you. I am in the extraneous process of writing three books ( One at 250ish pages, the others both between 50 & 70 pages ), illustrating four comics of my own original creation ( I only post one of my originals, and even that one Not very much. I'm afraid of Idea theft ), and a fan fiction of HTTYD. I'm planning, and have the outlines to about forty books for my future to scratch the surface to the universe of my own twelve worlds, which are all connected, so with characters moving in and out, and the enemies meeting each other it gets hard to manage and comprehend ( even for me ). Plus, I was the Carolina district manager on NANFA ( North American Native Fishes Association, I quit last month ), and i attend boarding school, in addition to being an active Boy scout. -And my parents and I own a ten acre farm. Tell me about being stretched.

Sorry, late reply is late. No worries, I'm not that kind of person. I sympathize with you too.
In short, I'm like you. To think that my series "Heroes of Paradise" are reeeally long; about 20 volumes, each of them with 6 long chapters, and some of the volumes have short stories to connect the whole story. Being as complicated as it is, I don't comprehend much myself. I'm also afraid of Idea Theft (not that much now, because my characters were rearranged during half my time in dA, about 1 year).
Actually, all of my stories and fanfics are comic-like style, and before going to the drawing, I write it (the scenes, the locations, the speeches, the characteristics, everything) to get the emotions directly from the words. Hard at first, but with practice, is possible.

P.S. A lot of fanfic starts after the HTTYD movies correct? Maybe, between 5 - 30 years after the movies is the time for most fanfics. It makes it easier for the writer, so they can do whatever they want with their fan fiction. Not mine! I just have to be weird and place mine two Years before the first movie. This makes it harder as a writer but much more fun for the viewers! Plus! I love a good challenge!

I saw the cover, it's well done! Now I'm curious about this fanfic of yours... What's the story? 
(And I love a good challenge, too! The cover to my fanfic "Linked Destinies" is almost done, same goes for "JOURNEY Chronicles" and my original series and character profiles. Gotta go improve my manga-ish style and my English, too. And my 100 theme challenge, as well... That's too much for you?)
