I know some ponies will look at Twilight as being an older sister to Spike. I also did too, but at the same time looked at her as a mother too.
I'd just like to let people know that over time, I began thinking Twilight was more like an older sister than a mother. Twilight's Seven even confirmed that Spike sees Twilight as his sister.

Brother-Sister is more like, because... why people want to ship someone with a person that's in the same age as the parent? Or that character falling in love with the parent-aged person. That's like shipping Gohan with Bulma, Videl with Goku, etc. Just because Twilight hatched him, doesn't mean she raised him. Twilight went to school to learn about magic, not to raise babies. Spike having a crush on Rarity is like a your own younger brother having a crush on your friend.

That's just how it feels to me. I think Twilight is the closest thing to a parent that Spike's got.

No it wouldn't. Twilight Sparkle seems to be the perfect age to be a mother. Sure she hatched Spike as a filly, but she hatched him so that technically makes her his mother.

Never has twilight sparkle ever called spike a son let alone brother only addressed him as a friend rarity is technically twilights age, and spike fell for her, would you say it's inappropriate because he's falling off with someone who happens to be twilights age?

Different things. They're all different. I've titled my series as "My Little Pony: Portals are Magic" because my OC used a magic portal to get to that world. I did have to shorted the title to "MLP: PAM" due to Deviantart's character limits in the title.
