I've only heard that they intend to stop producing any new material or merchandise that features Slave Leia.

Really, I think any issues of sexism regarding this were self-correcting.  The guy who chained her up in that outfit was depicted as a repulsive slob from the beginning.  And after less than twenty minutes have gone by, she strangles him to death with her own leash!

Because this artwork was hand made and not digitaly and the letters are black colour and were previously printed on the blank cover.

I'd heard about that too. Disney aren't trying to get rid of it, this all began because some guy took his kids to buy some Star Wars toys from his local Disney store and objected when he saw an action figure of slave Leia on the shelf. Carrie Fisher was recently asked about it and she just basically said that it was the father's responsibility to explain to his kids that Leia was forced into wearing that by a "giant testicle" (her words) and the chain she wears around her neck is what she eventually uses to kill said "giant testicle". The tool of her enslavement became the key to her freedom. Personally I think that given the gold bikini has been embraced by legions of women around the world as a symbol of feminine strength, no one really paid that much attention, yet one man kicks up a stink about it? Hmm...
