This is an amazing drawing. I read that Olympic participated in a rescue of the crew of the sinking cruiser HMS Audacious during World War 1.

Thank you very much. Indeed she carried the crew of the HMS Audacious after her sinking, her war service even earned her the nickname of "Old Reliable".

Beautiful! I don't know why I didn't get around to commenting on this before now.
Could you tel me how you keep your drawings so rich in saturation yet so clean? The more lead I put into a B&W drawing (either with a regular writing pencil or charcoal), I get fuzzy edges and smears, even though I use a clear piece of plastic under my hand to try to prevent this. Any secrets?

Thanks a lot!
Well, in order to avoid fuzzy edges and smears, I always go back several times on the lines with my pencil, until it looks "fine" and sharp to me. I also have some smears sometime, but what you can do in order to prevent this is to use an eraser after your drawing is done (a small eraser when you have smears in a delicate place of the drawing, between some details for example). Also, I recommend you to draw all the very black areas of the drawing at the very end, because at some point your hands can be on it and it can cause smears, even with a piece of paper or plastic.
Finally, if you can use Photoshop, there is an awesome feature which allows you to erase what you want from your drawing (or from any picture), it's like an eraser but in a much better way!

Thanks a lot!

True, but there are surviving relicts of the Olympic.

Yes, I remember seing pictures of some parts of the interiors of the ship nowadays. This is incredible to think it still stands nowadays after more than a century
