Description
Try to hide behind your CatholicismTry to hide behind your heterosexuality
Try to hide behind as many barriers as you will
Satan still has your soul
You are a sinner
And no amount of praying can change that
Look deep into your soul
And see that gay couple has more morals than you
They have more love than you
So don't dare deny them their love
Just because you can't ever have the same
You can't hide behind your Catholicism
You can't hide behind your heterosexuality
And you can't hide behind as many barriers as you will
Satan will always have your soul

I agree... And somehow all homosexuals are pedophiles if they admire those who are straight, I've been through it... The rumors, physical punishment, everything...
And forced to hide it and act like a homophobe in front of my parents...

Er...not all homophobes are...you know, like that. Not all homophobes call homosexuals "fags" or "faggots," or gang up on them or abuse them or anything, just for being gay. And homosexuals aren't all innocent, either.
This is well-written and I applaud you on that; even if I don't agree with its contents.

I'm kind of confused. Are you talking about people who don't agree with homosexuality or people who abuse homosexuals?
Because I am the former.
And if you're trying to imply that I'm going to go to Hell because I don't believe that homosexuality is at all natural... I don't agree. At all. I've met plenty of good homosexuals- and plenty of bad ones. Just like I've met plenty of good and bad homophobes.
I don't think anyone is going to Hell because of personal beliefs. It's well written though, even if I don't agree with the content. ^.^

Hmm... I don't know, I don't think it's very open-minded to say someone is going to hell just because their opinions differ from your own...

The church of Catholicism kicked my BF out, and the youth of the church was throwing eggs at his house, calling him a faggot, apparently forgetting Aaron was their friend for over 10 years, or when they all met in kindergarten.
Because of a church, my father beat me and I was placed in an orphanage.
I'm just now letting God back into my life.

You miss the whole point, but that's okay. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
And are you assuming that the only people who are against homosexuality are Catholic?

I want...to glomp you...and never let go. 0_o
This sums up all my feelings in a poem.
It's like we're going through the Civil Right's movement all over again...
I really hope that in my lifetime, I'll be able to say "Did you know that gays used to be seen as disgusting?" and my children will stare at me in disbelief.
I really do.

Yeah. That would be a great thing to tell your children about. Hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later.

True that.
Being gay myself, I definitely agree with you.
I understand that some people might not love every homosexual out there, but they don't have to deny them everything they've worked hard to get. That's not their business, nor does it have to do with them.
So yeah.
GREAT WRITING.

Okay bit of a long story, but it's worth it.
I typed up homophobe to see what I could get, and this was one of the first things that came up. I read upto "You are a sinner
And no amount of praying can change that" on the search page.
I got into my mood of, "oh no you didn't" and relpayed every biblical contraversy in my mind. Then I read the whole thing.
I love it. It is amazing. In fact amazing doesn't even cover it. The fact that you put it into a poem is even better than just writing it. I am envious.
This piece should be posted everywhere. Everyone needs to know this. I'm not relgious, nor am I Christrian or Catholic, but I know that God didn't make hatred or ignorance, it was made out of the lack of God. Jesus never taught his children to hate someone because of who they are.
Homophobes are no better than racists, and should treated as such.

Mm. I likey. It seems to me that the bible says being homosexual is wrong, but it also says a lot of other stuff that's frowned upon in our society.

A website I've been shown (I can't remember it) was disproving that the Bible says anything wrong about being a Homosexual. I can't remember the arguments presented on the website, though.

I've always thought that homosexuals had more love than heterosexuals -- they're willing to love whom they want to love. I've always thought, too, that they (not the homos) believe in something that they can't see, feel, touch, hear, taste - God - so why deny something they can their love? How exactly does that work...
Oh, right. I was also in the middle of writing a song supporting homosexuals. It's still in the works, though... song writing's hard. ^-^;;;;

I think it's because some people get scared and hate the unknown.
